“funny place”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

monkeys are so used that tourists feed them that they are expecting everyone to provide food for them. Make sure you don't anything attractive in your pockets or in yours hands. We were attacked for the packet of baby wipes.

“Don't take bananas!”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

I'm kidding- it's just that I was eating one and it was ripped out of my hand by the monkeys! Cute visit for yet another small fee- lost my taxi driver here! Interesting place to walk around, the monkeys seem to be trained by the sellers in Kuta though, to take everything that they can- so be careful!

“Greeeen!”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

This is a beautifully green place. There are some temples located within the sanctuary, lots of moss covered stone statues - some statues are extremely strange, like the dog with the boobs! LOL!
And of course, lots of macaques.

“Well worth the visit”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

The sanctuary costs 20000 rupiah to enter that includes three temples, a lovely peaceful walk and monkeys galore. You might want to avoid buying the bananas to feed them as they can be aggressive and are not shy about jumping all over you. The main temple requires you to wear a sarong (provided) to enter and is well worth to see the exotic carvings. There is a small pool in the centre where monkeys bath a d dive into the water. Very entertaining. An hour to visit is plenty of time.
