I am not freaking out over Freak Coffee. The price is freaking high and the taste is freaking normal. The photos of coffee choices are freaking nice and that is about freaking it.

This is the first review written that says our prices are high. Our prices for coffee and whole roasted beans are actually lower than other Cafe's in Ubud.....and much lower than the upscale hotels, spas, and restaurants. We believe that ours is the best value for the quality and welcome coffee lovers to try it and see for themselves!

If you are not looking you could easily miss this fabulous little place. We found it by accident and loved it. I am a coffee "freak" and I must say I was very impressed with the coffee we had...short Mac. Worth wandering along Hanoman Street to find it

Our emphasis at FREAK is on Coffee. Our focus is to give our customers the best coffee anywhere, period. We do not spend our resources on decor....our small Cafe is cozy and comfortable and has free Wifi. Maybe not a "hole in the wall", but not a lavish extravagant
looking Cafe.

I am glad to know that finally FREAK opened their coffee shop in Hanoman Street then it’s quite easy to reach as it’s located in central Ubud. The staff is friendly. The Kintamami coffee is great. They have not many variant of cakes/muffin but not too bad thou. If I m not mistaken they already open around 8.30-9am. Perfect time to have coffee. FREAK only have about 3-4 tables but somehow even better than have too many people in small room. Unfortunately, they don’t have a restroom/toilet on that café. As caffeinated drinks had a diuretic effect, I think they should provide a restroom. So people who wanted stay longer, could have more coffee without worry how to reach a nearby restroom.

We are well aware of the need to install a bathroom in our small cozy Cafe. It is first on our list of improvements/expansion. Like this reviewer said, we are a "Great Coffee Shop....", come for our coffee, not for our lack of bathroom facilities. If you need to use the bathroom soon after drinking your coffee we are happy to provide you with a take-away cup!

Reasonably good coffee. Made in Ubud itself, Kintamani Coffee fields. Healthy food stuff tho, Vegan-ish. Value for money price, 1-2 USD p/cup. Tried the 'Turtle' mix, pretty interesting!
