We are a family of 4 with a young kid and the grandpa traveling to Bali for the first time. We booked our hotels in 4 different areas of Bali so we can experience Bali in different flavors (Ubud, Amed, Klungkung, Sanur). I planned to use the travel day from one location to next as our road trip days with sightseeings along the way. So glad we have found Bali Ari Tours and Drivers before our trip. Wayan replied back to my request within few hours and gave me very good suggestions of each day. Email communications with him was always quick and efficient so I was able to iron out the details of my trip plan easily.
When we arrived at Bali, Made was our driver/guide, and we were so grateful for his warmth, friendliness and thoughtfulness. Made always showed up earlier than our appointment time with a clean car and chilled water for our road trip. I didn't request for a child seat but he showed up with a very clean child seat for my 5 yr old son anyway. So we don't need to use the Saferide vest we have brought to our trip. That was such a nice surprise to us and especially to my son. He loves to sit up comfortably and be able to look out of the window. On the day when we need to go from Amed to Klungkung, Made had to leave at 6am in the morning from his home in order to meet us in Amed for our departure time! For every sightseeing location, he plans the route and accompanies us to give us tour of the place. His English is excellent and shared a lot of details of local culture with us. He's also very good with kids, sometimes when we were busy taking photos, he was the one holding my son's hand or lifting him up to see things. The car he brought was also big enough for all 4 of us to travel comfortably. Bali traffic is bad, especially in Ubud and in the mountain areas where all the trucks are. Made is a great driver and always keeps us on the safe side. We had a great time in Bali thanks to the ease of transportation provided by Made. On our last day, we booked Made again to take us to the Airport. He showed up early as he always do, but with traditional Balinese clothes on. We asked him why, he told us his uncle suddenly passed away in the morning and he was expected to be at the ceremony with his family. However, Wayan couldn't find anyone else at the moment, so he decided to still take us to the airport as promised. We were so touched by his dedication and truly grateful to have met such a wonderful local Balinese like him! Matur suksma!
