I booked Wayan as my private driver after my coworker had traveled with him a few years back. Wayan was super accommodating with my customized requests. Not only is he a pretty good driver, but he even offers some Balinese history and cultural lessons along the drive.

I had asked him if he could take me to Lempuyang temple before sunrise, so he actually came and picked me up from my hotel in Ubud at 4 AM! He asked me if I wanted to stop by the market before heading out to grab some breakfast. Super sweet of him.

Once we arrived in Lempuyang, he recommended that I hire a local guide to take me to the top of the mountain since it’s a hike through the jungle with some pretty aggressive monkeys. The local guide was really nice and let me take breaks whenever I wanted along the hike. He spoke English as well.

After Lempuyang, Wayan drove me to Tirta Gangga. He offered to take some pictures of me, very patiently as I wanted to take the perfect Insta photos. 😂😉

I contacted Wayan Balik of Bali Ari Tours some months ago based on the recommendation of friends who toured Bali with Wayan some years ago.
