We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel has beautiful architecture. Balinese stone and wood carving can be spotted both inside and outside of our rooms. Room is clean and very spacious. The balcony on 2nd floor overlooks a rice paddy field, a good spot for chilling out.
Location is some distance from ubud centre, about 10 mins drive. Its not an issue for us as we had a driver/guide and were out most of the day.
A slight disappointment is that breakfast has to be in the lobby. It will be great if there is the option for dining at the front porch or balcony which I did in my previous hotel.
I arranged my airport transfer with the Prana Shanti and Wayan, the manager drove me. He's very knowledgeable about Bali and I learnt a lot from him during the 1.5hr drive. I will ask him to arrange for tours the next time I visit again

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much. We had originally booked for 5 nights, but decided to extend for another 3 nights. The villas at Pranashanti are well designed and beautiful, they offer stunning views of the surrounding hills (on one side of the property) and rice fields (on the other side). The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained and our villas were both super clean (we changed villas half way through our stay). The breakfast was a great start to each day. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, being away from the centre of Ubud - it's about 10 mins by taxi, 70K rupiah. Overall, excellent value and a beautiful serene setting.

It's a private property design by a local famouse Japaness Artist. Open 3 month ago, just for private use before that. So we are very lucky to enjoy the fatastic place!!
It's hard to describe the resort by words, beacause it's well designed by every details, the Flora, the furnitures, the buildings, the sculptures, the pool area, the equipment.
It's in fact a 6 star villa!
Fit for honey moon, because a litte far from town.
Can't forget the unique experience!

Room Tip: 2 rooms has 270 degree views of green forest of Ubud, chooce them

Stayed 6 nights here and love it. This property has an interesting story. It has been a retreat center for Japanese cultural exchange students since it opened in 2005, but opened to the public just a few months ago. The bones of the place - architecture, location, pool, room size - are five star, but there is a little renovation that still needs to be done before it will realize its full potential. It was clear to me during my stay that the management is aware of what needs to be done and work is in progress. That said, the quality of the place compared to the price is unparalleled in Ubud. The photos you see on here were uploaded by the management, but it really is that beautiful and the rooms are that nice. The service can be uneven at times but the employees are so earnest and eager to please that they will take good care of you. A few downsides - it is a bit out of town. There is a great trail where you can walk into town past rice fields and river views, and although downhill, it is a 40 minute walk. We took taxis most days and at $5 each way it was no problem. Be sure to ask Wayan or Giday at the front desk to arrange day tours for you - at $55 for a full day with a private Engliah speaking driver you cannot go wrong - they take you all over central and eastern Bali. Also, the $15 massages in your room are great - the women who come in are quite skilled and professional. Did I mention that breakfast is included and they bring it to our room so you can enjoy it on the terrace each morning? See why I love this place? To be honest, I considered not reviewing it lest it be beyond my budget on my next visit, but I want this gem to succeed...
