The first night we arrived in Ubud, we stopped by this place as it was highly rated. There were no customers at that time and we noticed a sign outside saying “ reservations only”. The restaurant only has two tables, one inside and one outside and we didn’t have reservation. My wife just walked up to the owner, Amier who was hanging out at the table inside and asked him if he could fit us in for dinner and he said sure.
The food was excellent and flavorful. After we ordered, we could hear Amier start cooking. The food couldn’t get any fresher than that! The downside was it took a while. But we were on vacation and just hanging out relaxing and people watching.
We liked the place so much that we made reservation to go back two nights later.. When we went back the second time, it still didn’t disappoint. Price was also reasonable.
The menu is super small, just 2 entrees I think. But the menu changes each day. So you could eat there every day and never eat the same dinner. The menu also shows what is served days ahead so you can plan another day if you want. We did!
