“little Japan in the heart of Ubud”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

What a gem of a restaurant. Right off of monkey forest road this little spot is every foodies dream. The food is terrific, the atmosphere is friendly with a neighborhood feel, everyone knows everyone and if all the locals are eating here then i want a piece of the pie (or better yet the tuna star appetizer with wanton crisps.) the owner is the kindest man who has traveled the world and knows the ins and outs of Ubud so he is a wealth full of knowledge. Take a break from Indonesian cuisine for a night in Sushi heaven.

“Great sushi and service!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

Great find in Bali! The seafood was fresh, presentation excellent, and the price right. Most expensive roll was less than $7 US. The chef and owner came out to greet us and answer any questions we had with the menu. He made a suggestion for the Toro Roll. Glad we took it, it was delicious. The sashimi perfect... salmon, buttery and fresh and the unagi warm and slightly toasted as it is meant to be.

“Standard westernized sushi place”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

This place is just like any sushi place you'd find in North America, but a little bit cheaper. Good service, good food, good presentation.

“A unique find within traditional Ubud surrounding”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Been to TORO twice and will definitely come back for more sushi and lil' chat with Yande, the friendly owner/sushi chef. The place is small and warm with very relaxed atmosphere. Try the fusion sushi which you don't see much around Ubud.

“a nice low key sushi bar; but quality”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

We had a nice diner with the ededame , miso soup and a good fish platter.
We looked around and everybody looked very relaxed.
A nice place!
