“Feel good factor with delicious food”

Be aware, you need to book a table in advance! There is a reason it is so busy. We made a reservation by phone and the waitress on the other end couldn't quite get my name. When we turned up, all the staff were laughing at the name my reservation was under and unfortunately I was unable to decide on whether to be insulted or just let it go.

The service was great, the staff had big smiles whenever we caught there eye and when I found out they were volunteers, it made me feel a bit more impressed by what they were doing. The food was fantastic, we had the shrimp vegetables with rice, red chicken curry followed by Dadar Gulung. The dessert was amazing and filled to the brim with coconut. The seating was quite awkward as I am not used to sitting on the ground but there is regular seating available.

It really is worth eating here, if not, just pop in and make a donation.

“A small restaurant with a really big heart!”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

We made a reservation for this great restaurant that supports The Fair Future and Bali Future Foundations . Alex is the Foundation director and host. He fronts a busy team of super friendly staff. We shared a large table with three other groups. Our orders for drinks, juice or beer , were taken quickly and just as efficiently delivered. As you would expect the menu is fairly small but it packs a punch. The Red Chicken Curry was the best I have eaten anywhere. Other meals at our table were equally enjoyed. You must book to ensure a seat. It is a very welcoming place but the choices are limited. If you bear that in mind , and take into consideration that dinner for two, meals and dessert, and beers cost less than $12 US how can you go wrong! Highly recommended

We had an amazing dinner. Be aware that this place is very busy so you need to book a table in advance. The environment is lovely, the staff is amazingly friendly. Food is awesome and cheap. Juices are fantastic. Best price and meal ever! Try the green coconut pancake!

“There is a reason why this is #1 on Trip Advisor!”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

We went here the night of the cremation (kings wife unfortunately died) and booked the bale. We were a party of 8 (my pregnant daughter and her husband, my son and his partner, my gorgeous 22 year old daughter, husband and 11 year old son).

Right from the moment we walked into this tiny place, we were given fabulous personal service from Alex (owner) who provided us not only with an explaination on the dishes available that night but the reasoning behind the establishment.

What we received was an amazing meal and a feeling of providing for the community.

We had Tuna Tartare, and a variety of special dishes for the day - Amazing food and incredible value for money.

Well done, really enjoyed it the experience. Go here people!

Beware: we went at the end of October and had to book............................
