I am so happy to see that there are some real quality people in this world willing to help others who have nothing. Alex you and your team are a credit to what is right, fair and decent. The welcome was wonderful, the food excellent and plentiful and the people we met (from France) a pleasure to sit with. Believe me, you will leave this place feeling a little bit better about the world we live in and about yourself for being a part of it. Can't wait to return to see the progress and hear about the lives that have been saved and changed forever.

Dear friends, dear visitors, dear all,

Thanks for your kind words about the Fair Future Foundation Indonesia. So nice!!!

You know, we try to do nice things, but simple too. Today, the Fair Warung Balé turn is first birthday! So, happy birthday Fair Warung Balé and thank you very much for all you give us.

Thsi week, we are closed... (Open again the March 31th, at 10h00). We need to rest a little, because the last few weeks have been difficult for all of us: The opening of the Free Clinic, the organization of the clinic, the purchase of drugs, ambulance, working with the docters and the nurses, dozens of return to the Health Départmement in Gianyar and Denpasar, hundreds of letters to write to cities and villages in the region, and life still pulsing, our "Fair Warung Bale" and "Fair Future Foundation". But we still enjoyed each second of what we are doing all together, with all of you of course!

A year later, yes, i remember this first day of work here. Three kids from nowhere and me! None of us could cook! So we totally improvised... Learning by doing! A only one-page menu, only two clients per day and head full of dreams and convictions. We dreamed of a free clinic for the poor, buy an ambulance, go to the villages to meet the poor and give them free medical care... A year later, it's done! Yeahhhhh, It's relly done dear friends.

And you should also know this: All the money we spent to open our clinic, to run it, to buy an ambulance, drugs, medicas, medicals supplies etc... All this money comes ONLY from the Fair Warung Balé. It's you who have funded everything dear friends. You've helped us, by coming to eat and to drink something, listen music, talking about our project, our intention and purposes. Just taking fun with a group of 10-15 young people who have their heads filled with dreams... Like all of us!

So, just on word dear friends: Thank you very much

Alex and all the Angles of the Fair Future Foundation.

I searched TripAdvisor before trekking into the unknown food district that Ubud is renowned for - and boy was I glad I did! We had to wait a while for a seat - always a good sign. The atmosphere was amazing, the music was great, people tapping away on their laptops or enjoying a feast with the family, friends, or just themselves.
We were seated at a square table large enough for at least 8 people, so had the joy of sharing about 15 minutes later when 3 travellers joined us. For what the restaurant is - run by people with little or no hospitality experience or skills - the dining experience was impeccable. We had a Thai Basily Tuna dish - it was HUGE! And also a Marlin dish (sorry it was over amonth ago and I can't remember exactly :( ) Both meals were tasty, fresh, and large for the price. We then had some banana pancakes with nutella for desert - we had to wait a little while for this, but the ambience and atmosphere, and the pancakes when they arrived - made the wait absolutely worth it. If you have a bad experience - I would say it might be an unlucky day, because everyone else on here seems to love it, like we did :) Thank you Alex and team! Oh, and our bill was 200,000, still the cheapest and best tasting meal we had the entire trip!

Alex and his team are doing a great job with this fantastic initiative. The food was delicious, and the crepes were the one of the best I've had! It was great to get to know the people there. Whenever we return to Bali, we will be back!

Dear friends from all around the World,

A big thank you for your very nice comment.

A person is a success if they get up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.

Your few words give value, after months and months of work. So much patience and courage to get where we are now! A project like ours is a challenge, a mountain to climb! It takes courage, commitment and above all, we must believe it!

Without you, without your visits, without our hosts and our visitors, we can not do it. Together we make things simple and yet terribly complicated ... So these few words of encouragement on Tripadvisor are very strong for us, as words of love in a way!

As your little white stone on the wall of our foundation, you help us to become even stronger.

Long live the lives, dreams and love ... We love you and we hope to see you all here soon.

See you soon over here.

Alex

Selamat sore semua!

This small warung is only 3 or 4 table, on is outside undre the Balé Dangin, in the garden.

The food is absolutely remarquable and the portion are huge (too much for me...). I eat the fish basil with fresh tomato and rice! I was not disappointed at all... You should try the french crepes as well. the one with banana and nutella is very very very good. Try there special juice too, the one with Jahe (ginger) lime and mint leaves! So fresh especially with this temperature.
The staff are so cute, just young people under 20. They all learn about everything in the Fair Foundation. Thank you to the beautiful Eka, Kadek and Wayan and the very cute Komang for their smiles, and for sharing their story with my humble person.

Don't forget the main goals of the Foundation and the Fair Warung... Free healthcare for locals people and for kids from all villages of my island. The Saking Napi Clinic downstairs is amazing and fully equipped, like a real hospital. They event bought an ambulance for going to all places in Bali, event further maybe? Ask for visiting the clinic? it's 100% free!

And please, the food there is just soo good, so tasty... For me, one of the best warung in Ubud.

Well done all of you!
