Even if this place was not built on a good cause then it should still deserve to be a must do in Ubud, but with the additional carrot of dining for a good cause, this place is way ahead of the competition of the Ubud food scene.

As noted it is quite small but don't let that put you off as there is actually plenty of places and you will not feel cramped.

It's a very sociable place too if you like that and being able to see the meals prepared is a treat as well.

I have dined in many top places around the world and the food was on a par with restaurants 10x more expensive.

There are plenty of places in Ubud run by your typical female hippy expat that are fine places to eat but they are way more expensive than here and therefore offer poor value in comparison.

The founder is also a dude. Good luck to you all and here's to being number one in Ubud.

We bumped in by accident. Walking down a quiet street looking for a warung to eat, I heard cheerfull voices and laughter upstairs. We checked the menu downstairs and after reading about the good work this foundation does, we decided to go upstairs. What a nice surprise! The warm welcome and the setting immediately gave me a good feeling. Next to that, the food was great! Keep up the good work guys! Good luvk with your foundation!

We had a fantastic dinner here with our two
Boys. Our whole family agrees that this place is the bomb!! Kids found the rooftop room to be amazing. We were seated and served promptly and greeted with a wonderful smile. Food, well it was awesome, great tuna steaks beautiful salads and crepes to die for. All washed down with a cool cocktail or a Bintang. Our meal for our family of four, with drinks and desert for everyone came to around $ 28-30 AUD. Hoes that for value when we paid more than double in other eateries that were nowhere near as good. When you finish don't forget to write on a small white stone that goes on the wall. Can't praise it any more Five stars from us, will definitely be back. :-)

Take a look at this place, meet Alex and Eka, taste the dishes they prepare, enjoy the confortable and friendly atmosphere, enjoy the lively colours of the restaurant and of the food they will serve you, take some cooking classes from Eka, have Alex drawing a map of the nearby of Ubud for you, take a chat with Alex's friends and the other people attending the cute restaurant. Take a talk with Alex about the Foundation, it will be worthy for you and for others. Have fun! I did. I loved this place. Good food and not expensive.
