Even if this place was not built on a good cause then it should still deserve to be a must do in Ubud, but with the additional carrot of dining for a good cause, this place is way ahead of the competition of the Ubud food scene.
As noted it is quite small but don't let that put you off as there is actually plenty of places and you will not feel cramped.
It's a very sociable place too if you like that and being able to see the meals prepared is a treat as well.
I have dined in many top places around the world and the food was on a par with restaurants 10x more expensive.
There are plenty of places in Ubud run by your typical female hippy expat that are fine places to eat but they are way more expensive than here and therefore offer poor value in comparison.
The founder is also a dude. Good luck to you all and here's to being number one in Ubud.
