We stayed at the Kenanga from the 11th to 13th August, and had the most wonderful time the setting is perfect the breakfast's delicious and we had a great dinner on our second night.

The staff were absolutely gorgeous and very helpful, the rooms were beutifully done and extremely clean and the shuttle up and back to Ubud was excellent service.

We certainly look forward to returning and would recommend it to others.

Located in a very peaceful place among the rice fields! Just 10 minutes driving from the royal palace in Ubud.
Rooms are stilish and comfortable.
Just relax around the pool or at the small restaurant and enjoy the amazing view.
Free transport to Ubud every hour, free bicicles.
Fantastic staff.

Loved this hotel - everything was perfect when we stayed in August of this year. The staff are lovely and genuinely want to be helpful and kind. The rooms are modern spacious and super clean. We had a fantastic walk in shower and super large bath tub. Rms are cleaned both morning and night! The pool looking over the rice fields is fantastic. Finally the breakfast were amazing - so impressive and with such attention to detail. Yes it's a bit out of town but we actually liked this as ubud is getting so hectic - stay here before the secret gets out!

Hi,
My husband and me stayed at Kenanga from the 12th to 15th Aug. We had had a terrible day (almost lost our lives) on our way from Perhentian Kecil (Malaysia) so getting to Kenanga was such a pleasant surprise !
The staff were wonderful and efficient. The breakfast à la carte was delicious. And the property was stunning.
We were in one of the 3 suites after the pool and right in the middle of the rice paddies.
Some could find it far from the centre (10 mins by car) but then we would have never stayed in the centre of Ubud which is a bit too animated for our taste. The essence of going to Ubud is enjoying the beauty so in that way, the Kenanga location is perfect (not too close and not too far)

Would recommend this place to any kind of traveller.

Thanks to all the staff !

The essential oil of Kenanga is used in aromatherapy. It is believed to relieve high blood pressure. This place does just that. A new and beautiful place yet to find its way up the rankings.
It won't stay this price bracket for long so book now to experience the place, the staff, the food, the cocktails, the massages. The food deserves another mention. This place is GOLD.

The Kenanga Boutique Hotel is the ultimate destination for Ubud, Bali. The staff are amazing and provided a professional and intimate experience for me and my young family. The entire hotel is immaculate and nestled amongst the rice fields giving a more 'Ubud' experience. Our room was well decorated in modern Balinese style and was clean and comfortable. Out little baby was well accommodated with all provisions needed including a cot. Despite being a little out of the main town this is fixed by a free shuttle to and from the market centre, although a taxi is very cheap anyway. Breakfast was included and was great giving both Indonesian and Western choices.

I highly recommend the trekking through the rice fields!

An excellent new boutique hotel.

Overall, if you're looking for a mid range classic Ubud experience, you won't go wrong with Kenanga. Infinity pool? Tick. Relaxing rice field view? Tick. Smiling Balinese service? Tick.

I chose this place slightly at random, mainly because it satisfied my price and location criteria but I was really pleasantly surprised by my stay. Although it's very new, the staff and service were pretty much faultless - simple, smiling Balinese charm. I stayed in a Kenanga bungalow and it was spotless and very nicely decorated. I was particularly impressed by the bathroom which had a full size tub, shower and two washbasins.

The resort as a whole is pretty compact - perhaps only 15 or 20 rooms. It is divided into 3 blocks of bungalows (only one has a direct view over the pool/rice fields, probably worth requesting that one) and a larger house containing the rooms. All are grouped around the infinity pool which overlooks the rice fields, along with the open air restaurant. The position and the views make you feel pretty much like you're right in the middle of the fields which gives it a very relaxed setting. Each bungalow and room also has a little private terrace with views.

The restaurant is good, and although a couple of things were off the menu the night I ate there they are happy to bring the food to your room. They also serve food and drink by the pool. I also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (which was huge!) and the afternoon tea (tea or coffee served with a light snack) was a really nice touch.

Overall, I was really pleased with my choice and would definitely consider returning next time I'm in Ubud.

Room Tip: Ask for a bungalow with a view.
