Our second visit to Komaneka - even better than the first!

The Komaneka chain owns 4 hotels in the Ubud area. The hotels are relatively small, which offers customer intimicy and a personal, tailor made approach. Having enjoyed our first stay at Komaneka Monkey Forest a lot (3 years ago) we choose the hotel for our second stay in Ubud. And although we knew what to expect, the revisit was a warm experience. The staff really wants you to feel at home. And with staff we mean the complete staff. It is such a peaceful hotel, just a few steps away from the bussy Monkey forest road. The garden is well maintained. The rooms are superb as are the facilities. Everyday the staff managed to surprise us. It started with an upgrade at check in, followed by a cooking class (including lunch), the special diner with dances and performances by the staff, the daily afternoon tea, the farewell gift and all the details I forgot. Is there a better place to stay in Ubud? I don't think so. We enjoyed it to the max and will certainly return!!

One of finest places I've ever stayed

OK - we are into superlatives now....

I'm a stickler for customer experience. And this is the ONLY place I've ever stayed that's played it note perfect from check-in to check-out. We did only stay two days but even so the level of customer service here and the ambience are a cut above - without being overly formal.

We were upgraded on arrival to a garden villa with pool and everything they did from the gifts in the room to the room service to the candlelit meal was just perfect.

Breakfast was about the best I've ever had.

Perfectly situated in idyllic Ubud - If you're in Bali it would be a crime not to go

Totally Exceeded Our Expectations!

My group (two couples) stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days in Feb-2014. Our major disappointment was having to leave at the end of our holiday. Komaneka at Monkey Forest is perfectly situated in Ubud and despite being in the middle of town, it is an oasis of serene bliss. The wonderful staff took care of our every need. The location, scenery, great rooms and numerous things to do and see made our stay a truly unforgettable one. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Only one small suggestion to Komaneka - do consider installing a ceiling fan at the reception lobby. Thanks again, Komaneka!

The perfect Ubud hotel

We are leaving in 45 minutes. This hotel is one of the best we've stayed in anywhere in our travels around the world. What makes this place special besides the location, facilities, rooms and gardens is the exceptional staff. The people truly make you feel at home so much so they greet you back with "welcome home..." when returning at the end of a day. We were permitted to use the hotel's facilities through the day until our late night flight. The manager is a great operator and is bound to succeed in making this hotel a must visit hotel in ubud. Well done each and everyone of you.

A review of our Family Stay

I went with my parents to Ubud for 2 days and wanted a quiet hotel but something which is 5-10 min from most of the landmark visit places of Ubud. I had not even done a prior booking before I landed in Bali! However, I was greeted well by the booking staff on the phone, the booking was hassle-free and done in a few minutes! Moreover, the villa was beautiful, peaceful, clean and the service was impeccable! The staff genuinely cared for your comfort & were very helpful when I needed to arrange for hired car to take us around Ubud!

The spa is also very good & made sure that my parents were well taken care of & attended to! The villa was great! A small pool and great interiors! Very Spacy! The food was great! This place is located in the heart of Ubud and we would get to any location in less than 10 min!

After we checked out, we got drenched in the rains! When we went back to ask for some space, they readily helped us unpack again, dry up and relax ! - all at no cost! We were really impressed by this gesture!

Thank you to the entire staff of Komaneka!
