Our first impression of Bali was a positive one thanks to all the staff at Komaneka Monkey Forest. We enjoyed 7 nights here and were sad to be leaving this great family. We moved on to Gili T and Jimbaran and the service did not come close to that of Komaneka @ Monkey Forest. We would highly recommend this place on excellent service & clean amenities. Everything was just easy and made the start to our holiday a great one. The hotel is situated in the centre for easy access to cafes and shopping. Everyday we were greeted with a warm smile and all staff made us feel like family. Nothing was difficult. BIG THANKS to Dewi & her team for their kindness & in making our stay a great one. A BIG THANKS also to our breakfast waiter Nyoman Swastika (I hope we got that right) - outstanding service and also for the balinese teachings. Will definitely be coming back xx thank you.

So cheap to get in to see the monkeys, was 2000 rupiah or $2 Australian (bargain!). Monkeys absolutely everywhere & plenty of opportunities to get some great photos of them. If you want photos of them on you, you will need to invest in some bananas at the front where the sell the tickets. They come close to all people, but much closer to those with bananas. Beware they will come up to you & try & pluck then out of your hands themselves. There was lots of screaming girls when we went! Well worth seeing if you enjoy animal attractions :)

This is a very good hotel right in the heart of town. If you like crisp, clean, international modernity, and don't mind the noise from the nearby bars, it will probably suit you. For me, it lacked character and felt more like a business hotel than a romantic destination. Rooms are spacious and pristine. Breakfast was well presented an there was good choice, but I didn't like the flavours in my omelette or banana bread. My girlfriend liked both. Service is good, but not exemplary. I found the bed too soft, and having gone to bed early was kept awake by the bass guitar next door. For your money, in my view you can do much, much better in Ubud and get a more 'Balinese ' experience for about half the price.

Room Tip: As far toward the back as possible. Bands at the Laughing Budda bar are pretty loud though finish ab...

Location, great food & nice room setting. For me...the people who make this place so special, polite, friendly, helpful.

Beautiful...beautiful staffs & i guess since people who works there are so nice, it makes everyone stays in this place automatically switch into friendly mood. If you're a Angry Bird..this is the right place for u. You find peace & lots of love, it calm you down & make you fall in love all over again.

Thank you Komaneka, AWESOME.

An oasis of calm and comfort - pampered and massaged. Splurge for a pool villa!

The staff are all very pleasant and helpful, great food in the restaurant, right in the center of town.

We were in pool villa 103, our friends in 101, both excellent.

Room Tip: Any pool villa, it's worth it!

Stayed here for 4 nights and prolonged the visit since we liked the place... Loved the ambience, location and the fantastic service. The afternoon tea was an unexpected and appreciated feature. The staff loves kids and pampered our 11 month baby who would disappear into the kitchen at every meal :)
I would definitely stay here again...

We wanted a hotel that was in the middle of the action and somewhere we would be able to walk to go out and this was perfect. We had a large room and bathroom and the property was spacious with a pool and bar in the back. We didn't get to use it as we were out seeing Ubud. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did a couple drops for us at a dance show (and came back for us when done) and did the same for my friend for yoga one morning. Really helpful.

They also arranged a last minute tour to see the rice terraces and coffee plantations within an hour as that was our last day to see things and we also got out to have a cocktail at another property where a friend was staying. After driving the 20 minutes to get to the Four Seasons, I am glad we weren't staying out there as it was far enought to make you not want to leave the property. The Komaneka was wonderful (and if you wanted to get out to the further jungle property, they would take you there for breakfast, tea time or use of the pool), so you get the best of location on Monkey Forest and use of other properties.

I would stay again for sure and would return to Monkey Forest as we could walk to the Sacred Monkey forest, lunch, dinner and shopping.

Great stay!
