We loved every minute at this property, and if coming back to Bali, would do the entirety of our trip here- skipping Seminyak all together in favor of staying in Ubud exclusively. The staff here are helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle going right into town, and almost next door is the most delicious Italian restaurant. The location is exquisite. Off the beaten path, away from the loud craziness, but still in the midst of it all. Breakfast from the hotel restaurant was huge and delicious- you can also have it delivered to your villa. My partner and I were ill (Bali Belly), and the driver from the hotel made sure we were seen expeditiously at the clinic in Ubud. We returned to our villa to find extra waters, a Get Well Soon floral arrangement, and heaps of kind queries as to our well being. Our pool villa was spacious and private, safety was never a concern and we felt like royalty for the week.

Room Tip: If you're traveling with another couple, ask for adjoining villas. They actually connect through...

The rooms are large and very private, you have your own outdoor spa. I would recommend asking for a room on the lower level with a view of the river. Our room had a block wall so we didn't have much of a view. We were able to walk to a very good restaurant from the hotel, which was very convenient. There is also a complimentary afternoon tea, but it was sparse. The bar is nice and the breakfast room overlooks the river and outlying trees.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a river view on the bottom level

This was our first trip to Ubud and decided to stay at Pita Maha. All I can say is wow wow wow. Spectacular views, nice spacious villa with pool and garden overlooking valley and river. The hotel staff were very helpful and professional. The food was fantastic although a little bit pricey. If your planning for a romantic getaway then Pita Maha is highly recommended. I will definitely go back.

We had a pool villa which was outstanding. I cannot imagine anything better in Bali. We had a private pool, an outdoor porch where we had breakfast 2 mornings, a living area, an outdoor shower that was very romantic. There are lots of steps as the villas are set in the jungle. Furninishings are very Indonesian, warm and comfy. Staff is outstanding, friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good. One night we had a private dinner at the Temple of the hotel, an extraordinary experience. Great location near lots of shopping. Shuttle bus to town.

I didn't actually stayed here, but had a spa treatment instead. The place is so beautiful, with the view directly to the hillside of Ubud. The spa treatment is so good. The therapists were so friendly, and they did an excellent job. There's a little pool right in front of the spa. We also had lunch there. The food was really good, the staff was friendly. Hoping I could stay there on my next visit to Ubud.

The setting of this place is just beautiful, you have your own Villa and we were upgraded to have our own little pool. Total privacy, so unless you want to be alone you should share this with someone Very spacious combination of King size bed , lounge, separate toilet, vanity and big bathroom. As it is set on the side of a hill, there are steps to climb, but at a slow pace very doable. The Infinity pool is fabulous and the scenery breath taking. Now to Breakfast---ample good quality food, nothing but the best. The shuttle bus leaves every hour to go to Ubud, from memory 9 am till 9pm, it is complementary. Only takes about 5 minutes. I can highly recommend this little piece of Paradise. Well worth the money.

My husband and I stayed at the Pita Maha for 6 nights, Firstly, beautiful location overlooking the rice fields. The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable - anything we asked for they assisted us. The hotel is beautifully maintained with pristine gardens and we had staff clean and tidy our villa twice a day. If I could say one negative thing about the hotel it's the lack of things to do there! If you are looking for a week of doing nothing but relaxing then this is your place. The restaurant serves lovely breakfasts (included in our rate) but a little overpriced and there is abundant choice of places to eat in Ubud. Day spa also grossly overpriced compared with local spas.

Room Tip: Villas near to the reception attract more noise from other guests in the bar. Some pool villas are...
