The entry does not show how extensive this property is. Once inside the grounds they are amazing with pathways that lead to hidden treasures.
The immediate feeling is of peace and tranquillity.
The staff are warm and friendly - most helpful.
The rooms "Tree Top Suite 204" is well appointed and clean.
Breakfast is sufficient to start the day.
Pool area is small but well set out.
Only a 3 night stay but will book longer next time here.

Dear Milton

Warm greetings from Warwick Ibah.

Thank you so much for your resent stay with us and a special thanks for taking the time to write this great review.

What a great summery of everything that is important. Thank you for the good information and your kind words!

It is very common that our departing feel upon departure that they should have stayed longer, many people underestimate Ubud and how tranquil and peaceful a stay at Warwick Ibah can be.

Please make sure you book direct for your next stay, we are very much looking forward to welcome you back.

We are a couple in our 60s and have been very fortunate to have travelled widely, particularly in SE Asia. I can confidently say the Ibah is the most beautiful and well located boutique hotels we've had the pleasure of staying in.

The grounds are amazing, reminiscent of ancient ruins which comes about because the hotel's location is in former Royal grounds. Stunning views, water features and statues covered in moss and lichen abound. The pool is a delight, with caves or a lovely covered day bed which we enjoyed. We stayed in room 103 Acacia. It's a short walk from reception and the restaurant. As with all rooms/villas it has its own gated entry and lovely outdoor patio with ceiling fan and lounges. Some rooms do have many steps to reach them, so this might be something for you to consider. Inside is a large bedroom, with a king 4 poster bed which I found very comfortable. A step down and there is an enormous bathroom with shower and separate bath. The decor is colonial style befitting the setting. There are large windows with views through the jungle and in the near distance you can see trekkers walking the Campuhan Ridge Walk, which we did twice. Another walk guests might like to try is the Kajeng Rice Field Walk, starts near Starbucks - don't miss this. Some of the villas have an upper floor as ours did and you can hear slight noise as the guests or housekeeping move about, but this was not an issue, just noted for potential guests. I didn't have room envy at all and loved our Acacia suite.

The location of the Ibah is perfect, close but a thousand miles away! It is walking distance to the Main Street of Ubud and just nearby are plenty of local Warungs (cafes), a mini mart with money changer, a laundry just up the hill and spas. Just to the left of the entry is the Kiradispa which we found very good and great value. The hotel's free shuttle is always on hand to drop you off if it's too hot or wet to walk and we often just walked home, however if you ring the hotel they will come and collect you.

The staff have all been superb and the security guards of particular note as they greeted us with friendly conversation as we came and went. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a wide selection and we thoroughly enjoyed the Cultural Dinner. We dined out for other meals as there is such a variety of well priced food options just minutes from the hotel.

The only glitch we had was on arrival at Denpasar airport when our pre-arranged hotel transport failed to arrive. This was very disconcerting. For those who haven't been to Bali, the airport exit is a mass of drivers and taxis, hundreds all standing waving signs with guests names. You have to trawl up and back to find your driver and when they're not to be found it's quite confronting to know what to do next. With the aid of the information desk and several phone calls back and forth to the Ibah, a taxi replacement was arranged. We're not quite sure what happened and chose not to let this mar our stay. I would suggest you triple check your transfer with the hotel prior to arrival.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and would happily recommend the Ibah.

When we arrived we were instantly amazed by this hotel! The grounds are beautiful and authentic, as was our room. We had a tree top suite which turned out not to be what we were expecting from the pictures but we still couldn’t fault the room, nets around the balcony and four poster bed for bug protection, huge bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and was very clean! The breakfast was really nice and the staff were lovely and happy to help. Hotel is in a good location, very short walk to main road/ restaurants/market and only 10 mins drive from monkey forest. They also offer a free shuttle service in the Ubud area.

We are a family of four who considered ourselves well traveled. We visited many pretty exotic places in the past and stayed in quite some nice places including 5 star hotels and resorts such as Aman. But still, this place simply blew our mind away. Come and see it yourself, you won’t regret it - it’s a good splurge for your money. In addition, the location cannot get better. It’s right by the Main Street, and with happy kids you’ve got happy family :)
