“Amazing Villa and Superb Hospitality!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

The owners and staff were super friendly and very welcoming and accommodating. This was the third villa I have stayed in when visiting Bali and I will come back to this one every time. The villa was very welcoming and seemed as if we were at home but still on vacation. Our concern was bugs since we were staying next to rice fields but we did not encounter any in the villa and just a very few outside, almost not worth mentioning! So bugs will be the least of your concerns. The owners were a very sweet, kind and loving couple who were very pleasant to speak with and be around! I only wish we would have spent more time at the villa instead of sight seeing, but we'll do that next time. The food was plentiful and delicious along with the very fresh fruit! Each time we came back to the villa we were greeted with warm smiles, hearty laughter and a very nice welcoming drink and snack! The beds, AC, shower, bathtub, pool, the list goes on and on was great and I have not one thing to complain about! My family and I really enjoyed this place immensely!

Stayed there in September and I loved it. Situated among padi fields of Ubud away from hustle and bustle of city life. The place has genuine antique look and feel. Owner is into antiques and told me he assembled most of the villa from various parts he got from Java.
Both owners are lovely and helpful.

Would recommended to anyone who wants a quiet stay and enjoy Bali.

We stayed at Syailendra’s beautifully-maintained traditional Javanese house with modern facilities for 2 days and had a great time!
They made us feel very much at home with their friendly hospitality. Breakfast is very good and you can chose local, Japanese or American and the time to be served. Bed and linen were comfortable and AC was good. Room was clean, comfortable and quite private, so were the towels and sheets. The Syailendra Villas is surrounded with rice paddy fields. The loction is about 10 minutes drive to downtown Ubud. The owner Mr. Iwan Kuroda & Mrs Mira speak English, and is very generous and attentive to the guest needs. All other staff are very nice, polite and attentive.
Thank you again Syailendra and family for a memorable stay. We had a great stay here and would definitely go back if we have the opportunity.

This is a real Indonesian, Balinese experience through the authentic wooden joglo style house and the partly antique colonial furniture. Good cooking, great service, good beds and lovely surroundings. This is for a relaxing and authentic Indonesian holidays.

Tip: following the path down towards the river you will find a small bridge with a trail at the other side which leads to a unpaved quiet road through the sawa's. Go right for a longer walk and left for a shorter walk which leads you back to the house.
Tip: hire a scooter for trips along the small roads around or to Ubud which is 10 minutes away. Study a detailed map or google earth.

Room Tip: Tip: if you like to cook yourself take the larger house which has a bigger kitchen. But you dont nee...

Magnificent place with beautiful view, clean and quite but only ten minutes drive to downtown Ubud. Pleasant services and quick response. Nice architecture and interior, different from the other villas, good harmonised between antiques and modern. The food is good, especially both Indonesian and Japanese.

This location offers the right mix of privacy and helpful service. The owners have great pride in their property, and the result of their talents is easy to see. If you are looking for a quiet place with good service, this is the spot of you.
