We stayed in Villa 7, which was very private and secluded.

The views and atmosphere were beautiful. The highlight was waking up and having breakfast on the balcony with nature completely surrounding you.

We really enjoyed the infinity pool that over looked the rainforest.

The staff was always helpful and friendly in particular Gustav, who always had a smile on his face. Nothing was too difficult and getting into the central part of Ubud was easy.

Dedari villas is the perfect place to chill out and unwind.

I recommend a visit to the Yoga Barn, which is about 10 minutes from Dedari.

After a 3 1/2 hr plane trip and a two hour taxi trip at night, we were welcomed by Poernomo with a drink and shown to our Villa by the pool. My wife said it was purely magical" We asked about dining and were shown the room service menu. A simple menu -prepared to perfection. Who needs a dining room when you can soak up the wonderful atmosphere from your balcony with a drink and great food. Nothing was too much trouble for all staff.
We can only echo the majority of positive comments made by other travellers. Dedari Villas would be a major reason to revisit Bali again. Like other reviewers, we would prefer to keep Dedari Villas to ourselves.

Room Tip: If you are not used to steep stairways, suggest you do not choose Villas 6 or 7

We stayed here for 3 nights when we first got to Bali.

On arrival we were greeted by the Villas manager and given juice and a friendly smile. Cases taken to our villa. We had villa 3. It has a great view over the valley and to the pool from the terrace. Villa was clean and well presented. Great fox tel, English channels, National Geographic etc.

Outside shower and Toilet was something different but it was good.

Pool is awesome overlooking the sunset. As there is only 7 Villas the pool is always empty.

We ate at the villa every night and every morning. Great food and reasonably priced too for room service.

We also organized in room massage for 2 days through the reception. Massage was the best we had in Bali, although the pedicure and manicure was not as good as Spas elsewhere for cheaper.

As the Villas are in local villages it is 15 mins out of Ubud. Free shuttle van into the center of Ubud every morning and back at 2:30pm. We would just get a driver (about 50,000) to take us back in the late arvo.

We will be back!

Phil and Tara

Room Tip: Villas 2,3,4,5 have the best view of pool and valley.

We chose this plave because of the reviews on here. The villas are lovely and the view is gorgeous. We also really enjoyed the pool. But we found the rooms were not very clean, there were dead moths all over the place and they gave us a used shampoo bottle it had someone's hair inside If the lid. We found that it was too far out from ubud for us. They have a shuttle that left at 10 and came back for you in ubud at 2.30. But that itself was a problem because when we ordered food it always took a minimum of an hour and a half to come. They lost our order twice in the three days we were there. We ordered dinner at 5.20 one night and no one out in the order even though the man repeated it back to me so we didn't eat until 8.45. The food was also really average and your too far away to go anywhere else. Honestly we went hungry the last night, the portions were tiny and not very nice (the ribs were all grissle, the chicken was dry and chewy, the banana fritters were crunchy) but the banana pancakes were good. They were helpful arranging tours though, ubud is a lovely place to stay but we would stay more in town next time. Although the drivers we had we would say no we dont want to go to the gold and silver shop we have been there and he would take us there anyway and say you have a look. Quite annoying! This place may suit some people, possibly more patient, but for us it just wasn't right. The food alone I couldn't wait to leave and have a good meal!

I had my best nights of sleep at Ubud Dedari Villas, which is a property with just seven bungalows, set 10 minutes east of Ubud in the jungle. I loved waking up to the birds cackling in a bed that could've fit five of me, having a morning swim in the small pool and taking breakfast on my huge verandah. When I told them that I needed a reliable WIFI connection, they offered to put me up in Villa #1, which is the closest to the router. Wayne and his staff even went as far to test the speed of the signal in the room! The property is just four years old, so the rooms are in superb condition.

The only drawback is that their shuttle only runs to town once a day, so you're stuck paying 50,000 rupiah (~$5) if your departure is outside of their schedule. Also, dining options are fairly limited out here, so take advantage of your time in town and really enjoy the restaurants there!

My husband and I have just come back from 12 days in Bali. 6 spent in Dedari Villas we were in no 3. It was lovely and clean and spacious the sheets and bedding crisp and really white. Fabulous view sitting on our private veranda and when I got sick the management and staff couldn't have been more helpful offering to get a doctor straight away. Another big plus no bugs the tv had plenty of channels and it was very quiet no street noise building dogs. Ideal place for a honeymoon. We loved our time there - it's for couples. Already planning to go back. Villas 2 3 and 4 are the best.

Overall is ok but try not to go to villa no 7(last villa) unless you really want privacy as you cant connect to their wifi at villa 7.

Villa 7:
Pro:
- privacy
- close to nature

Cons:
- no wifi connection
- got stair inside room, is a must if u want to go between yr bed & toilet.
- got long stair outside room
- limited hot water, only enough for shower, never try to use it for the huge bath tub. This apply to all the rooms.
- night time for many fruit drop on the roof which will make some noise.

Dedari
Pros:
- friendly staff n manager
- service good
- food above average

Cons:
- limited hot water.
- weak wifi connection.
- short of man power.
