I stayed on Jalan Sukma and this was my go-to place when I just wanted a couple of hours of peace to read a book in a relaxed and friendly environment. There's wifi and the ladies are used to people being there for a while. It's a comfy, friendly, no-pressure place.
Because it's not alfresco, like most restaurants in Ubud, it also avoids the dust, heat and noise that comes with roadside dining. But the space here is cavernous and the ceilings are high, so it's the best of both worlds... you don't feel like you're sitting in a restaurant.
The food is good. I was especially fond of the woku tuna that seem to come differently each time I ordered it. And the coffee is good.
It's a cut above local warung prices (and a cut above local warung quality), but cheaper than the restaurants off Monkey Forest. And if you're coming from one of the beaches it's probably much cheaper than you've been paying elsewhere. Entirely reasonable.
Good food, good coffee, good prices, free wifi, nice airy comfy space. How can you go wrong?
