“Number 1 Bali Adventure”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

I was recently in Bali with a couple of friends, we organised several activities for the duration of our stay - quad biking, volcano climbing, but canyoning was the easy winner.

Unfortunately 2 out of our group of 4 had been struck down by Bali belly and had to cancel last minute - they were not charged. This brought our tour group to a grand total of 2, plus our 2 guides Pii and Angar (no idea how to spell your names - sorry guys!).

It was a bit of a drive from Ubud, probably an hour and a half there and closer to 3 hours back on account of the Bali traffic. Definitely allow a full day for this one. Adventure and Spirit organised the transfer and our driver was an amenable fellow who was up for a chat, and stopped on the way home to buy us rambutans.

I was a little apprehensive as to the safety standards one would find in a place like Bali, but my fears were allayed upon arrival. The gear was new, branded and comprehensive - they provide everything: boots, harness, helmet, gloves, wetsuits, even wetsuit socks. The guides were well trained and professional.

Once in the canyon we had a blast. There was much whooping and hollering whilst abseiling off waterfalls and jumping off high rocks into deep pools. Pii and Angar brought a great energy to the experience - you can tell these guys genuinely enjoy their job, and their enthusiasm is infectious. The canyon itself took us about 3.5 hours (probably longer if you had a bigger group) then we lunched back at a base.

My only regret was that because we were there in the wet season we only had the one canyon available to us. Had there been more options I would have been back there the next day for another adventure!

“A must do while in Bali”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

My husband and I went on the Kerenkali trip during our time in Bali. It was the most amazing adventure. It was our first time canyoning but our guides Pe-e and Angga were were so attentive and made the trip so much fun. The canyon was beautiful and the experience amazing. Well worth the price. I would suggest trying to book with a small number of people. There were 11 total on our trip which meant quite a bit of waiting at each waterfall, but with that said still a great time. Don't miss this opportunity!

“Do not miss this!”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Almost checked this off as I thought it pricey. We missed our dive trip so thought we would do this instead. Unbelievable! Would love to see them get newer gear for the canyoning but the guides are fantastic. Can't remember your names sorry : ( They were both great and we felt well taken care of. We were amazed at how pretty and fun the trip was. My son is young and we weren't sure of his strength but with the guides help he had the experience of a lifetime. He is hooked now. What a great day and they take picutres so you can see and remember all the fantastic things you did. Really made me fall in love with Bali even more as the falls, scenery is lovely. Just get some newer suits, gear and it's 100% perfect.

“A great way to experience Bali”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

Spent 5 days in Bali and joining this tour was the best experience i had this whole trip. Very professional staff that helped us throughout the journey. Descending 20 meters high waterfall, jumping into waters, this is a trip you must try when visiting Bali.

“Our Best Day in Bali”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

Took my two daughters (12 and 17) and we had an incredible time. The canyon was stunning and the guides were excellent (they were very safety conscious as well). Both girls conquered their fears and had a blast. Lots of big grins. If you're looking to win a few "points" with your teens, this is a certain bet.

All-in-all an incredible family experience. Worth every penny!
