Owner description: Combinitaion traditional Dance between Barong Dance and Waksirsa dance in Jalan Monkey Forest, Ubud, Bali

Dance performance at the Ubud Palace is a must-see. The gamelan (orchestra) is the biggest in Bali, by far, costumes are terrific, and the whole experience is steeped in authentic tradition that is specific to this place.

These dances are very old and traditional and tell wonderful stories. The concentration and devotion to learning to adapt to
the necessary skills to perform is quite unique and remarkable.
We should all support these performances when visiting Bali.

A lovely low cost cultural night out in Ubud, bali. The costumes were exquisite. The dancing entertaining and the music excellent. We visited on a very quiet night in february which was great as we easily got front row seats. Loved it

The costumes are nice, and I'm sure the dancers are experts at their craft, but we didn't particularly enjoy the show. The music and the dances are quite repetitive to someone like me who cannot appreciate the subtle differences. I suppose if you know you want to see this type of dance this is a nice enough setting, but overall I wouldn't really recommend it.
