Description: 'Seniman Coffee Studio' is the Original Specialist Coffee boutique in Bali, Indonesia. Showcasing Single-Origin premium coffee from across Indonesia and guest international beans. We source green beans and roast all our coffee on site at our micro-roastery. Specialists in a range of different roast style we offer a journey of coffee's potential. Our science and skills continue through to how we brew our drinks; from hand brewing techniques such as Syphon and pour-over to high quality espresso based drinks.. Talk to our team about the origins of our beans, roasting and brewing craft. Full menu of creative Regional Indonesian Origin food and western breakfast dishes, cakes, health juices, wheatgrass, beer, wine, etc. We have super fast WIFI and cool tunes spinning all day. WE LOVE THE COFFEE WE CRAFT. Open at 8am, close at 7pm. We host workshops 2 nights a week, ask staff for details.

Ubud has been lacking a serious coffee house, and that has now been solved! Coffee is the star at Seniman -- there is a very good range of top quality Indonesian single origin coffees, all Arabicas, with a few international visiting beans to round out a blend if desired. Buyers can select their method-of-choice for brewing their cup and the beans are ground to order. The staff behind the coffee counter are true Barristas and very knowledgeable about the different beans, blends and brewing techniques. Try testing one bean with various brewing methods, or compare several origins -- it's all good, and very reasonably priced. The start of the show has a good supporting cast, too. The menu features simple but very well prepared food -- my breakfast was excellent. The decor is enjoyable as well, with a focus on simple, stylish and cleverly recycled materials. There's a shop downstairs where you can purchase most everything used in the restaurant. Although I'll have to fight the dreaded traffic through the center of Ubud, this is now one of my go-to places.

For an internationally known coffee-growing region, it is hard to get good coffee. Seniman solves that problem in Ubud. We luckily discovered it early on in our trip to Ubud and went repeatedly. Unabashedly third wave, Seniman is a place to geek out on good blends or just have a good cup of coffee. Not pretentious at all. They do excellent single origin stuff but excellent specialty coffees as well. The food is good too, all within 25,000-30,000 rupiah per dish, and they do blended juices, smoothies, lassis, and wheatgrass shots if you're looking for something alternative. Comfy space too. Great patio on a quiet street with comfy interior seating too. A must try in Ubud.
P.S Their hand cut bottle and glass stuff is very cool.

you've hit the nail on the head. as someone living in Ubud with a passion for coffee too, it was pretty much impossible to find a good cup... and so partly our inspiration for opening Seniman. the rest is history. thanks for drinking the good stuff!

I didn't know this place until David sent me a couchsurfing message.
So, I paid a visit to Seniman in the last morning in Ubud for the breakfast.
The breakfast was delicious with all the nutrition you need, eggs, sausages, tomato, and the super super delicious bread!!!
Seniman is a good place to let you spend your whole morning (or afternoon) there. you can just bring your book, laptop to there, just feel like your home.

Classy, unique and a great cup of coffee in a land with many coffee plantations, but few coffee shops and cafes.

We like being called 'classy'.....! ha..
yes you are correct, lots of coffee grown and hype here in Bali but nothing in terms of quality roasting and drink brewing... hope that we are now filling that void. we also offer trips to our plantations in Kintamani where you can see the crops in the plantation, the processing of the beans and then return to Seniman for our 'Coffee Tasting Workshop' nice way to complete your coffee appreciation journey...

crazy milk coffee/ latte art is not really our scene to be honest.... hence why we choose to draw a FACE on your drink rather than some decorative/ silly leaf... LOVE THE FACE! x
