I've had a few visits to Ubud and enjoyed many massages along the way. I wanted to try somewhere different on my birthday and Tamarind didn't disappoint. It's clean, relaxing, great service, but most importantly - a great massage. I will definitely go back.

The welcome area is in a lovely garden setting. The rooms are a little dark and not as nice as the original setting suggests but we enjoyed our massage and body scrub treatments. This was our first treatment of our Bali holiday so whilst we thought it was pretty good, we subsequently experienced even better (and cheaper) at other spas. It is a little pricey but the garden is delightful. The price charged for them to organise a driver is very expensive so I suggest you get your own taxi or walk ( it's not too far from the end of the main street). A nice experience overall.

We visited the spa a a gift for my partners birthday. Free shuttle to and from. We were greeted with a welcome drink, had a choice of three massage oils we wanted used for our massage. We had the 2.5 hour treatment. The spa is located in a quiet spot away from the extremely busy main streets of Ubud. Each stage of our treatment was fantastic.

I went to Tamarind Spa to get a Balinese massage training and I must say I really appreciated the service quality there.
The spa is clean, very quiet and the environnement is perfect for relaxation.
Plus, the training was very professional.
It was maybe a bit short for someone who never practiced massages before, but for someone who is a massage professional or therapist, it gives a real overview of Balinese massages, with the right techniques and a booklet with all the details.
I highly recommend this place!
