Cafe Angsa was more of a chill-out place for me with its soothing ambience and beautiful view of paddy fields. I did order twice-- a vegetable curry and Asia soup. Both were ok. Above the ordinary but not something yoy would come back for.

The Balinese coffee served in a pot (good for 2 cups) is ok and one of the cheapest around for only 10,000.

The staff are very nice too.

If you're looking for a place just to sit and do nothing, this is the place.

Might be we went to the wrong timing at the evening that the writers have hidden themselves into the kitchen for dining. Likely, we are not welcoming with one of the writers that she's just chewing something. Anyway, the view is wonderful as said from other reviews, food is fine with reasonable price. Somehow, we did go to the other cafe for dessert and drink. The one name 'Down to Earth Cafe', just 10 mins. walk to the way of Palace, right hand side with colorful Entrance you might see.

Sure, the food here is great, but let's be real, you're really going for the view. This open-air cafe sits next to a very green rice field, and if you go when the restaurant isn't very busy, you may be lucky enough to score one of the two coveted tables that overlook the scenery. I had the guacamole and rice crackers (very decent) and the "Ubud Basket", which came with tofu triangles, tempeh, prawn crackers, fried peanuts, and some really good sambal, which went well with almost everything else.

I stopped here for a break while shopping. It is set back a bit and the back tables have a nice view of some rice fields. Good place to stop for a drink or light snack. Free Wifi but I had some trouble connecting but eventually did. Had a fruit drink and a dessert of some deep fried bananas with coconut sprinkled on top and then they poured some coconut milk ( or other milk?) on top. Was disappointed and not what I had expected after reading the menu. It was rather soggy and not crunchy or crispy batter. I would not order that again if I went back. I'd try something else. Service was nothing special and they seemed a bit indifferent.
