Bob organised a truly memorable day for us. Starting with transport from our hotel to Ubud, a lovely breakfast over special coffee and tea tastings, seeing the volcano, and then the freewheeling down the hills. We learned more about Balinese people and customs than any where else. Moon, our guide, stopped along the way to explain local culture, rice harvest, temples, schools and more, we stopped to take many photos, and the driver stopped the traffic to give us a smooth ride through the villages. Everything other people have said is true about this tour - sometimes the least expensive option is the one which provides the genuine experience of the local people and this was our experience too. Over a wonderful lunch cooked by Bob's wife, Moon gave us even more insights into local people, beliefs and life - we were enriched and humbled by everything we gained. This was the best day of our whole Bali holiday. I would do this tour again. Thank you Bob.

If you can balance on a bike, then go on this tour - there is almost no need to pedal and always a car nearby if you really need it. We enjoyed every moment of this day.

We did have one slight mishap - on the return journey our son lost his phone in the car, which he only noticed one we were back at the hotel. We rang Bob, who located the phone and had it returned it to us within 2 hours. Thank you Bob for your integrity.

Our group of three, yes this is a personalised tour, included a wary cyclist, a daily cyclist and a racing cyclist - we all loved it! Fun, educational, amazing, cultural, personal, value plus, delicious, awesome, eye-opening, informative, ......... You get the idea. This tour is heaps cheaper than other similar tours and worth heaps more. Everything people have written is true, it is such a great day. We were picked up in Seminyak, taken to the Sacred Monkey Forest and returned to Seminyak for no extra cost. We learnt more in this one day about Balinese culture than all of our pre-holiday research and the rest of our holiday all put together. If you think you might be vaguely interested just book, you won't regret it. It's the best day I have spent in years!

Thank you Bob for a fantastic day out. We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a great day getting to know Bali from a mountain bike with Bob's great running commentary, past some of the best scenery mainly on little back roads through rice paddies and villages. At the end we were invited to Bob's home and got to taste an amazing lunch prepared by his family. Our group was only us 4 but as we were having lunch another very happy looking group of approx 15 came to lunch too. So it seems Bali on Bike can cater for all. Thanks again Bob!

Thank you Moon for a wonderful day biking through Bali rice fields & villages. We had 4 adults, 6 kids from age 5 to 14, and a grandmother with us. All were looked after & enjoyed the experience. We learned loads about Bali. Moon was a fantastic guide. The lunch in Dewa Bobs home at the end of the ride was great.

I agree with all the reviewers below. Mixing with the locals, delicious Balinese food, picturesque countryside, coffee plantation visit and tastings, knowledgable guide-it's all guaranteed here :-).

The steep down hill part of our journey was a little risky. I fell off my bike and broke my clavicle. I feel more warning should have been given on the approach of this hill. Some less experienced cyclists may decide to walk it. The attention I received from the guides was very professional. They did as much as they could to make me comfortable. The flight back to NZ was not pleasant but I am on the mend :-).

I did email the company, Bikes on Bali and asked them to offer people the choice of walking the downhill. I have not had a reply from them.
