We have to say that we have done this many times and any friends who go to Ubud we recommend also they experience the wonder of this adventure...

If it's the real Bali you want to experience, you can't go past this fabulous day... Not hard work at all, just joyful riding ending with one of the best meals I have ever eaten in Bali at Bob's house with his wonderful family...

We have been coming to Bali for 35 years and this would have to be a highlight... we wisely recommend:)

Dewa and his team did an excellent job throughout the programme. Service was great... Every person's need in the group was attentively attended. So all of us (from 8 yrs old to grown ups) had a lot of fun and enjoyed the cycling so much. All the previous reviews are so true about the whole experiences. This is absolutely one of many unforgettable memories of us all. Keep up the good work !

Kia Ora Dew "Bob" - thanks for a great experience yesterday! We were picked up on time and after seeing the crowded roads we worked our way up to meet Dewa “Bob” who started the tour at a tiered rice field (great photo!) and on to a coffee producer for a light brunch and welcomed by friendly staff with “Kia Ora Bro!” (Staff were very friendly speaking French/Russian) and shared a selection of Tea’s/Coffee’s and even had a chance to try a small cup of the worlds most expensive coffee (If you have seen the movie “The Bucket list” you will appreciate the context!) Then on to see Volcanic wonders and then start our bike tour. You are allowed to stop along the way and take photos of the many wonderful moments of local Balinese in the natural day and amazing temples throughout the tour. The Balinese meal at the home of Dewa Bob was yum! (I’m a fussy eater too!) Dewa and his family exceeded my expectations, offered genuinely friendly and open discussion on the Balinese character, shared his pride for this Island and it’s beauty and provided us an opportunity to see an insight into real Balinese life – wonderful! Ka Pai (Thanks!) Dewa – we will certainly recommend you to our people travelling on Air NZ from AKL to DPS!

An amazing bike trip through the center of bali!!! The bike tour started with a breakfast at the top of the mountain with a beautiful view of the lake. The bike tour was an enjoyable easy downhill route, nothing to extreme.
Besides exploring the inlands of Bali the tour guide Dewa Bob was excellent and provided us with tons of information on a variety of subjects. The different crops and spices that Bali is known for, especially the inner workings of harvesting coffee (coffee luwak!) and rice. We helped plant a little square of our own rice as well!!
The most interesting part for me however was the information over the Balinese culture, Dewa Bob explained how their religion plays a major role in the family and how important this was in their daily routine. And telling me about his own family, stories that not only give insight in this special culture but makes you want to become a part of it.
Last but certainly not least the end of the bike trip included one of the most indulgent home cooking I have seen from the lovely wife of Dewa Bob. Extremely good food which instead for the 3 of us seemed like it was made for at least ten people!!!
Concluding this was one of our best trips in Bali, for a very good price which includes pick up and drop of at the hotel. So a recommendation for everyone visiting this island!

The cycling tour my husband and I took with Bali on Bike was the highlight of our stay in Ubud. I selected BOB based on Trip Advisor ratings and comments and we were not disappointed.  After being picked up right on time we were told that while there were 6 clients that day (which sounded like the average group size for BOB, much smaller than other cycling groups we crossed paths with and read about), the other 4 were being picked up in Seminyak (much farther) and so the group would be split and the 2 of us would have our own guide.  This was a start to a great day.  Our guide Made was great, knowledgeable and helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing his culture with us.  He adjusted the pace to what we wanted (not very fast), stopped for pictures any time we asked and took pictures of us. The driver was never too far with the van, and was right there when I stopped to adjust the height of my seat. We got to see the real Bali cycling through back roads and pathways and learned a lot about Balinese village life and rice cultivation from Made. We took a walk through a rice field and I got to try threshing rice.  The trip ended with a wonderful Indonesian meal at Bob's home, made by his wife - better than any restaurant meal we had on our trip.  This trip is a definite must if you want to experience the real Bali away from the tourist hotspots.  You can get to places on a bike you can't with a car. The cycling was easy and mostly downhill. A handful of very short hills were a breeze once I mastered gearing down at the right time.  We were mostly away from traffic and on the few stretches of busier roads or crossings Made and our driver kept us safe.  There are a number of cycling tour operators in Bali, but BOB is a small, locally owned business with a genuine and personal touch. We would highly recommend them to anyone coming this way.
