The places you go on this tour seem pretty standard: the coffee and spice farm, the view of the volcano and then the ride downhill through the temples and rice terraces. It's as nice as it sounds. Bali on Bike go the extra mile by being so friendly, having good bikes with a support car, and then amazing food and beer after the ride. It was all a really enjoyable experience. My only tip would be to go easy on asking for a Trip Advisor review - once is enough, we didn't need four reminders.

It's a measure of how fondly I remember our day with Bob and the excellent product that I've carried the bloody card around for 3 months in my wallet until I've finally gotten around to telling the world about Bob!

Do yourself a favour, skip the more heavily marketed, longer established tours and go with Bob.

The obvious stuff is great - bikes, water, routes, scenery etc. But it's the authenticity of Bob that made it special. His English is great and his generosity in sharing and talking openly about any aspect of the Balinese culture was what made this such a fantastic day.

We really were part of the family while there, and the trip ended with lunch at his famiy home prepared by his wife and family - one of the best meals I've had over the years in Bali and a privilege to be invited in openly to share with the family. There's nothing quite like it I've found before or since - there really is something special about Bob.

And it's extra cool that he took a risk to setup this fledgling business not long ago, and his pride and hard work in how it's building - not coz of marketing or kickbacks, but through providing a superb experience and being open and engaged with others. When we'd finished lunch and every need was attended to, as our driver appeared to take us away, we asked Bob where he was off to. He shyly but proudly shared with us that he was off to an afternoon group of clients - the first time he'd had two tours on the same day!

Get him while you still can!

Whilst there are a number of bike tour operators, it's hard to imagine one being any better than this. Our group of 9 (4 adults and 5 late teen/early twenties kids) was led was Dewar ("Bob"), the most delightful, gentle man with an intimate knowledge of the area and its people. After the bus trip (with a stop at Mt Batur and a coffee plantation on the way, both excellent) the ride is a gentle downhill run all the way, through wonderful scenery. But what makes it extra special is the stops; in a rice paddy to watch the local workers harvesting their crop; in a small village with the women in their traditional clothes preparing the offerings; and then with a local family, the most lovely, happy and genrous people in such modest circumstances. It provides a wonderful window into traditional Balinese village life. And finally we were invited into Bob's family home for lunch at the end of the ride, superbly cooked and presented by his wife, formerly a chef, in what was probably our best Indonesian meal of our fortnight's trip. Do not miss this experience.

This tour was more than a sight seeing bike ride, we learnt so much about the culture of the Balinese. The coffee plantation where we had breakfast was very interesting. The ride was mainly downhill and the rice fields provided fantastic scenery. Bob and his team made us feel part of the family and attended to any needs, they were happy to stop anywhere we wanted for photos or to watch the rice planting and harvesting etc. They were all very informative and interactive with our group. They were also very attentive to the younger ones and their ability on the bikes, very safety conscious. We ended the ride at Bobs home in his village, and we're treated to an amazing authentic Balinese meal cooked by his wife and family, washed down with a couple of Bintangs. Excellent tour, would highly recommend this tour and this family business to anyone.

By far exceeded my expectations, the views were amazing and the sights we took in would not have been achieved if not on bike. The guides were fabulous and happy to stop when ever for photos or for a short rest. I would recommend this to anyone heading to Ubud!!
