I think there are a lot of other bike companies to chose from, so why this one?
- Dewa Bob varies the trip to suit the interests of those on it
- The party numbers appear to be kept small, so no worries about being stuck at the back of a long line
- Whilst it is virtually all down hill, he will even vary the route to avoid anything but the smallest hill
- Stops and talks to the locals to show how the rice was harvested first hand
- On the pick up from Ubud, stopped off at Teggalang Rice Terrace and Kintamanee so covering a couple of other sight seeing aspects
- Really tasty and pleasant lunch in the peace of Dewa Bob's garden - nice way to end the trip
All in all, I can't fault this for a way of seeing the country side in a leisurely manner - much nicer than being in a car

Thank Huntsy

Firstly, thank you Bob for being so kind & concerned for me on the bike as I had fallen over in Ubud the previous day & hurt both knees & my wrist, so was not a very good rider.
Bob looked after me "like his own mother" Our stop at the Coffee Plantation was interesting & we enjoyed sampling the different varieties of coffee, including buying a cup of Luwak coffee, which was really nice. The pancakes, made by Bob's wife were yummy.
During our ride we stopped to look at preparations for a cock fight, then continued on stopping to see the ladies harvesting the rice. We stopped for a ceremony, then enjoyed the easy pace down the mountain through the many villages, waving at the smiling children along the way, stopping whenever we wanted to for a drink & bananas, also supplied by Bob.
Bob is a wealth of information & genuinely cares about what he does & the community & this shows.
The day ends with the most delicious, authentic lunch back at Bob's home, cooked by his wife.
It was so good I suggested she start cooking classes as well.
My husband enjoyed the cold Bintangs with his lunch.
A great day out, have already recommended Bali on Bike to others.

A highlight of our stay in Ubud was our very personal experience with Dewa Bob, stopping at a carving village and tastings at the excellent coffee plantation both enroute to Mt Batur. Lucky to see the lake and cloudless summit before our easy 2-3 hour downhill ride. We certainly recommend using a local operator who went to great lengths to accommodate our needs and make the ride through the villages most memorable. Another unexpected highlight was lunch at Dewa Bob's family home and the generous traditional Balinese lunch prepared by his wife.

We stayed with the brother of the owner and he said we should use this one as it locally owned. We were glad we used them as we had a great trip with our own guide, stopped when we wanted him to do so. Would recommend this company

My son and I did this trip and really enjoyed it. We got picked up early , which avoided the traffic, from Nusa Dua and drove up to the starting point. It's a long drive but near new vehicle and a great driver made it painless. Great bikes and an easy roll down the mountain for 25-30kms thru villages and country side.Made was the guide and was very informative and fun. Lots of potholes but no problem. No level of fitness required as its almost all down hill. Finnished off with a very tasty and substantial lunch at Bob , the owners place. Would highly recommend. Thankyou Bob and Made. Regards David and Simon
