I have to agree with other reviewers, this is a great restaurant serving very good authentic food.
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel manager and have to say we had the best food in Ubud here.
Located about 20 minutes walk from the town centre but still on the main road so it's easy to find. You can either sit inside or out. It's very pleasant sitting outside in the gardens. The service was friendly and efficient. The chef even came out and waved at us which was nice.
The menu had many local specialties and we ordered a selection of these to try.
We found the food was very good and highly recommend this place.
Value was excellent.

We came across this diamond by accident at the top of the hill from ubud. It looked alright from the road. What a surprise when the food came. Excellent quality beautiful flavours. We ordered 5 meals then asked for another 2 satays. Very cheap with an enormous organic garden out the back which the staff will show you. When bali is so fertile and full of beautiful herbs and spices you can't go past warming Palau Kelapa near the bin tang supermarket!

We had lunch in this small restaurant.
Enourmeous choice of indonesian dishes. Well prepared. They do have an own botanic garden and all the vegetables are coming from there. Well you can taste THE difference.
We tried severaL dishes and all were good and tasteful.
Also THE soft rinks iced ginger tea and squash of orange ( all out of THE own garden ) excellent taste. THE old Javanese house looks beautifull.
Price / quality is really one of THE best.

The food here is absolutely amazing and the price is unbelievable. It was the best restaurant we had been to in Bali. I don't remember the exact meals we got, (nasi something), but the banana dessert was the standout dish. It's the one with the creamy sauce. It's very moreish. Wish we had discovered this place when we first got to Ubud, would have definitely eaten here every night. All up I think we paid 110,000 (Roughly $11) for a main dish, drink and dessert each. Would highly recommend.

I eat here quite regularly and it's quite the favorite with people who live in the area, too. The restaurant is much more than meets the eye when you walk in...yes, the nice garden seating and the old wooden house with nice art and friendly staff and inexpensive Indonesian food...all that.

However, a really good new addition is the small coffee bar they have in the back behind the small demonstration garden but before the bridge and large working garden. The chef Pak Lambon told me that they actually sent the coffee makers to Jakarta to study how to make coffee...I was served great coffee and also some wonderful Balinese jajaan...(balinese snack cakes) that were really tasty..they are not set up yet to produce these in quantity but when they do it will probaly be a very big seller...

A must try for lovely leisurely afternoon tea or anytime snack!
