If you want to be swept away, here are a few useful pointers:
1. Go before sun down to fully appreciate the views as it is what you are paying for.
2. Spray the insect repellant thoughtfully provided to avoid mosquitoes bites.
3. Go for the food you enjoy and not based on reviews alone. Personally I did not like the degustation menu esp the cold soup and strong cheese. It wasn't satisfying. My partner had the ala carte - crispy duck which was a much better choice both taste and expenditure wise.
Service was good and staff were attentive.
Bon appetit!

Wow!! What an excellent restaurant in idyllic settings with exceptional food and cocktails.

For the most perfect romantic setting go for the 100 candle lit dinner which offers the taster menu. Simply incredible.

Highly recommend the passion fruit chilli cocktail!

Incredibly attentive service - can't fault this place in any way.

Location, in a narrow gorge by the river, is spectacular. They light up the stones in the river at night, which is quite dramatic. The food and drinks are creative and well prepared, and the specials were surprisingly inexpensive given the quality of the restaurant.

We were lucky enough to get table 11 & the view is fantastic!
Staff were very professional and the food first rate. A little
Pricey but so very worth it.
Will definitely return.

Made a dinner reservation to celebrate my partner's birthday. Upon arrival at the lobby, we waited for a buggy to drive us down to the restaurant. we had a table overlooking the river and the setting was very romantic.

We had the 6 courses tasting menu. We were served warm bread before the meal and it was good. After every course, we were asked for feedback. We did not really like the cold soup so we did not finish it. As soon as the restaurant supervisor heard of it, he came to us and apologize. He offered to make another soup for us and asked if we would like to have chicken or seafood soup. It was very kind of him to offer another alternative. He made an effort to walk around the restaurant to engage with the guests, constantly checking on things. Definitely very professional! We had a cocktail each and it was good.

Before we were served desserts, the restaurant manager, chef and some other service staff presented a complimentary birthday dessert and sang the birthday song. It caught us by surprise. Very thoughtful!

Although we had the tasting menu, the portions were filling and the food were more than sufficient. It was one of the best dinners we had in Ubud. Food were fresh and delicious.

A big thank you to the staff at Swept Away, making a memorable birthday dinner for my partner. We truly enjoyed the evening. Though it is a little pricey for Bali standards but it is definitely worth the money spent!
