We had a great day!
We were picked up from our hotel in Legion and taken to a coffee place (Oka Agriculture?) where we were able to sample different products - coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit - while looking out over the beautiful view. Next stop was breakfast - which we ate with a view of the volcano. After breakfast we jumped on our bikes - we were helped to get the right seat height and fit our helmets. Then it was all down hill from there (maybe there were three hills along the way). We stopped at a house, temples and other interesting and photo worthy place - Ketut our guide was able to answer all our question along the way. At the end of the ride we had a delicious lunch and then were taken back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this activity.

After researching a few different companies we took a punt with BaliGoBike, as recommended by our hotel.

What a terrific choice! We had a fantastic day with Gede yesterday. Gede is a thoughtful, enthusiastic and well spoken guide. As there were no other guests on the trip on this particular day, Gede catered to our needs, stopping to explain many aspects of Balinese culture and life. The visit to the family home was one of the highlights on this fun and fact filled day.

As others have mentioned - its 90% downhill with a couple of good hills to get the blood flowing, but its not a difficult ride by any stretch.

The quality of the lunch at the end, and the experience of playing the gamelan will be great memories of an excellent day. Highly recommended.

Today we toured around ubud with Baligobike and what a fantastic day we had! We were picked up from our hotel at exactly the specified time, and travelled to ubud in comfort. From there we met our tour guide Gede, who was brilliant from the word go! He was fun, friendly, and had no end of interesting facts throughout the day! We stopped at a coffee plantation on the way up to the start point, And continued on to be served breakfast in a restaurant in the mountains that had possibly the best breakfast view in bali, and spent the day cycling through villages and rice paddies. We stopped to go into a traditional Balinese countryside house, and at the end of the day had a lovely Buffet lunch in the tour owners home! As an extra we had a lesson in how to play Balinese instruments and watched some children practising Balinese dancing. All round fantastic! At no point did anyone ask me to make a donation or attempt to sell me anything extra either which seems to be something extra special in bali. I cannot rate this tour enough!

If you are looking for an amazing tour in Bali where you get to experience the beautiful nature and culture of Bali with super friendly, knowledgeable and generous guides, look no further than Baligobike! This tour is run by a very well organized team and is designed to give its patrons a unique and full Balinese experience.

This bike tour today was even better than expected! We started the day with a drive to a coffee plantation where we tried a variety of different coffees and teas (complimentary) and learned about the numerous fruits that grow in Bali. Then we went to a great breakfast spot overlooking Mt Batur and Lake Batur. I chose a delicious banana pancake and tea. Then we got on our bikes and started the easy ride (90% downhill coasting) to Ubud from Kintamani. It was awesome to ride through the different villages and say hello to the locals. The scenery is beautiful from mountainous volcanoes to verdant rice paddies. Our bikes were very well maintained and we rode on non busy streets - safety is prioritized.

Next we continued cycling and stopped at a small village house to meet the family and learn about how the Balinese people live. We continued our riding and stopped at a temple to learn about the Hindu religion. Next we rose through more rice paddies and stopped for a lesson on how rice is cultivated. Lastly we enjoyed a delicious, traditional Indonesian meal at one of the staff's house! It was a buffet and we could eat as much as we wanted. We also got to learn how to play Balinese music which was one of my favourite parts of the tour!

This tour was a wonderful way to spend the day. Our guide was Gede and he was awesome! He was very enthusiastic, friendly and kind. He always volunteered to take pictures for us and was an excellent communicator. He was also very knowledgeable about Balinese culture and taught us a lot in just one day.

Definitely choose this tour, you will not regret it! Thank you baligobike for an unforgettable day in Bali!
