“very nice hotel, not so great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2012

The bungalows are lovely, beds are so comfortable, and the outdoor bathroom with the judge bathtube and the shower is amazing. We love the paddy field view, and enjoyed the breakfast, the flowers bath and massages. The staff is very friendly!
Two small negative points: the location, there is not a lot of things to do at a walking distance, and sometimes noise because of bungalows upgrading. But it was the most relaxing stay we ever had!

We stayed 3 nights in Bale Kambang 1. It was a totally blissful experience at Yangloni. Our first, definitely not the last. We hv stayed in Mua a few years back and was equally swept away. At yangloni, We loved the traditional style villa which was not short of all the modern amenities. Fridge, toaster, kettle, LCD TV, DVD player, in-room safe, hair dryer, and the amazing huge stone bath tub- most ethnic I've ever seen! The bathroom is an open concept with our privacy discreetly safeguarded. The plus far outnumbered the minus so I'll just put them all in a list:
Plus
1. The villa is cozy, beautiful drapes over the bed and decorated with flowers when we arrived
2. The bath occupies the entire back of the villa, open comcept, has a natural stone tub and a shower open to the sky, a total sense of spaciousness
3. The villa is on stilts over water, with fish swimming around, so tranquil. On top of that, we could hear the frogs, the "music" from the breeze blowing the
bamboo trees
4. The breakfast selection was the best, 6 to 7 sets to choose from. We had Japanese, American and English. And we were served at our little balcony of our villa as we ate overlooking the rice fields and fishes swimming in the pond. We also get to enjoy our afternoon tea here everyday
5. There was turn down service every evening, our mosquito coil burning at the balcony and electronic coil in the villa, towels changed, drapes let down
6. The complimentary shuttle was so convenient to get into ubud town and back.
7. A big hand to all the staff of yangloni- they deserve a pat on the back for their execellent service with a smile, always attentive and quick response to our requests! We felt so welcome and the hospitality surpassed our expectations
Minus
1. The villa can do with some extra lighting as it was a tad too dark in the night. Especially at study/dressing table. Also lighting at mirror in the bathroom
2. Management should consider placing the light switch in the villa as well. Every nite, we had to unlock the door and walk out to turn off the ceiling lights - quite inconvenient
3. the WC flush wasn't working well. We reported but was still the same. Every time we had to flush 2-3 times
4. The blinds/screens in the bath area could be improved as we could see our Neighbour through some little openings and we're sure our neighbors could see us too! We felt a little exposed on that score
5. The hotel reception could do with a change of clean cushions on the chairs as they looked and smell as though they've not been changed since a long time...

We did check out from Kajane Yangloni just today and we are already missing it. The rooms are really authentic, all solid wood and the outdoors bathroom is so nice!!
Moreover the staff is always friendly, with a big smile on their faces, always willing to help, that is definitely their best asset!
The free car service to the center of Ubud and surroundings is definitely a pro! (since the resort is a bit in the outskirts of town).
I would say it is more a place for adults - not so much for families with small kids - since it is mainly aimed for relaxation.
I will definitely recommend it!!!
Thanks guys!!! :-)

I've just checked out today and loved every minute. The room/bungalow was beautiful and so peaceful. Semi outdoor bathroom was gorgeous with the most beautiful bath tub, plenty of toiletries replenished everyday. Fall asleep to the sounds of nature! Breakfast was lovely - I chose to have it on my balcony each morning. Modest sized pool but just gorgeous. I was the only one in it each time I used it. Location is out of town - so if you want to be in the chaos of ubud try Kajane Mua. But I loved being away from town and used the free car transfer every day to and from town, and never waited more than 10 mins. For the return trip you can call the hotel or just walk to Kajane Mua and they will take you back. Also enjoyed having the option of the gym, which I used twice.
Finally, the staff were amazing, all of them. Drivers, hotel staff, waiters, gardeners - nothing was too much trouble, all genuinely friendly and accommodating. They really want to make sure you enjoy your stay in Ubud, not just at the hotel.
Cannot praise this place enough!

My friend and I absolutely loved staying at KajaNe Yangloni! It was the perfect end to our Bali vacation - quiet, beautiful, incredible service, and a quick ride to Ubud. The staff was always willing to help us do whatever we wanted from going to see the guru from Eat Pray Love, to creating our perfect breakfast combination, to finding the best work out music, and of course showing us the best shopping spots.

The bungalow was a perfect mix of rustic with all the modern amenities you could want - aircon, tv, etc. The bathroom was a definite highlight!

I would highly recommend this to all my friends.

We were impressed by the warm and caring staff (they even gave me a birthday present), the location, the breakfast, the afternoon tea, our wonderfully rustic bungalow and our fun outdoor bathroom complete with pond full of fish and frogs. We'll definitely be back!

The preceding reviews on TripAdvisor for KajaNe Yangloni provide most of the details and recommendations that you need to decide that you do want to stay here when you come to visit Ubud, and I can only reiterate those views. This place is great - from the actual rooms, to the wonderful service, to the views from the front door, to the value for money, to feeding the fish below the balcony with left over breakfast (leftover because of the volume of food delivered to the door each day, not because of the quality !!), to the free rides to town every day. Just great.

It is worth noting a few things though:
- We traveled with a 20month old toddler; everything was fine (and as people have mentioned before, the Balinese love kids) however the villas are not very child friendly. There are plenty of edges to fall off and the villas are elevated over a pond, making for a wet landing ! The hotel provides cots though, and put a few toys in the room which was a great touch on arrival.
- The outdoor bathroom is awesome, however they are not 100% private. Wasn't an issue for us, but we did mention to the staff that this was something they may want to adjust slightly in the future.
- Kajane is outside Ubud, so not one to walk to town from. However the free shuttle service, on call for pickups at any time, more than makes up for this and was never a problem.
- Villas 1-3 are the best in our view, furthest away from the entrance with slightly more space between each other.

Would definitely stay again if we came back to Ubud. Trust all the reviews here. And book quickly.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 to 3 are best - most private
