Great experience. The movie was lame, keep walking unless you want to cool off. ( air conditioning )
The only surprise was the admission price we thought it was to high.

Our morning with Su on the Bali Bird Walk was one of the best things we did during our visit to Bali. She not only pointed out birds that were beautiful and interesting, but also provided information on the plants and trees we saw, and the culture of the rice farmers of Bali. The walk through the rice fields was gorgeous, and the stop for a snack at a little stand out along the path for fruit and fresh coconut water was a peek into life in Bali. There are a couple of places where you have to step carefully, but overall it is not a difficult walk. Whether you are a birder or not, you will love it!

A great morning stroll through the rice paddies with Su, a wonderful well-informed guide, followed by a great lunch at Murni's Warung. Must do.

about the birds and plants and insects of Bali. Enjoyed it very much, but I do wish it had been a shorter and less taxing walk. We had been told it was only 2 hours, but was nearly 4, and much of it was not shaded at all. So we were not prepared, and all got sunburned and visiting relatives had minor heat exhaustion. There were some rough terrain areas, and 3 sections of "tightrope walking" across an 20 cm wide concrete barrier between a fast river/canal and a few hundred metre dropoff. So I spent the last few km looking down at my feet to make sure I wasn't going to become a news blurb. Info was great, and Su, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable as well as funny. She is also in much better shape than me. I would highly recommend it--to anyone who walks or hikes regularly.

I haven't been bird watching before, but this was fascinating. Su, our guide, was so knowledgeable and happy to explain everything, she made it all very interesting. Su could spot a teeny little bird across several rice fields that I found it difficult to see through binoculars! She didn't just describe the many birds, butterflies and other creatures we saw on our walk, she also shared lots of information about the culture and general lifestyle of the local people. We stopped for a drink straight from a coconut which had just been cut from the tree and ended with a nice lunch at Murni's Warung. A really interesting way to spend a morning - but take a bottle of water with you.
