We expected to get on bikes and coast down a road. What we actually did was stop at a very scenic terraced rice paddy and a place growing a wide variety of tropical trees and making luwak (civit cat poop) coffee, and eat at as restaurant with outstanding long range views before getting on bikes.

The bikes are mountain bikes. The ride was almost entirely coasting down hill. About half the way we were on low traffic, narrow paved roads. The rest of the way was on very bad condition, broken roads and occasionally on from muddy food paths so narrow we ended up walking out bikes. We saw the real Bali, as lived by the locals, stopped at and walked on small terraced rice fields, and visited a wood carver.

The big surprise and best was being taken to his home and served a delicious home made meal while being entertained by children dancing. Two cute little girls ages 5 and 10 in costumes danced for some time, followed by three boys. This exposure to the local culture was a great surprise and highly appreciated.

Highly recommended for those who want to see the real balinese lifestyle. Visit a typical Balinese home, community meeting place and rice fields and then have home cooked lunch at Ketut's home. Don't expect the rose coloured version of Bali, but the real thing!

The guide, Ketut, picked me up from Jimbaran at 7:30 and strarted the tour from ubud. had seen the beautiful scenery of valcano and lake when had morning tea, enjoyed famous Luwark coffee at the very nice coffee garden, then cycling in rice terrace. full of fun and good opportunity to know of the baliness culture, baliness people, Thanks Ketut. It's one of the best tours that I've ever had.

My boyfriend & I where the only ones on this tour & ketut picked us up promptly at 7.15 am, when to see the volcano & try the luwak coffee which my boyfriend loved ! Ill be brief describing the whole tour as many people have already. Ketut showed us the paddy fields, wood carving, and a lovely Balinese house who welcomed us so nicely . Ketut welcomes you into his home & his family has a wonderful home cooked meal after the cycling. It's a must if in bali, get away from the tourist centre & see bali ! I'm going to be recommending to my family & friends ! Sing ken ken & suksma ( thank you ) hopefully right spelling ! To ketut from dirk & Jen

It's been a month since my bike excursion with Bali Breeze Tours and after a long holiday I can still say that it was the most fun tour I made in Bali! The surroundings of Mt Batur are beautiful and since the bike ride starts uphill, you can easily enjoy them. Ofcourse you have to pay some attention, but Ketut's colleague Made made sure that the little traffic we did run into knew well in advance to take care. The car with extra bikes followed us everywhere just in case. Some stops, to see the rice fields, vulcano and coffee plantation and for breakfast were planned, but most stops were wherever the action was. No surprise in Bali, a large group of women were preparing offerings for a holy day. The tour ends with a great meal at Ketut's family, which feels very homely as the rest of the family is going about their daily business. Sing Ken Ken (no worries) really applies here, so Matur Suksma (thanks very much) Ketut, Made and the team!
