Wonderful way to see Ubud. It rained during the tour but it only made the whole experience more spectacular. It is mostly downhill cycling, but on the few occasions where uphill is required, you would need to be somewhat fit to make it up. I would recommend people who are comfortable on a bike and familiar with gear changes. The path is quite bumpy and lots of potholes. Food not good but to expected on tours like this. Bike leader very friendly and as you will have read in many of the other reviews, is known for the famous saying 'Sing Ken Ken'. Gets a bit repetitive after awhile. All in all, a great activity to do while in Ubud.

US$25 for morning tour / US$35 from 10am-3pm. The trip began with an unexpected visit to a plant garden - I was more interested in getting on a bike and cycling. Next was breakfast high up on a hillside cafe balcony with a fantastic view of the Mountain / Volcano - unexpected but welcomed. Eventually we did about 2-3 hours of cycling which was enough, given the midday heat. In fairness the cycle is about 80% downhill so it's not too tiring. I liked that Ketut who runs Bali Breeze Tours is a local Indonesian who delivers a good quality tour.

The highlight of our holiday.
A wonderful window into the heart and soul of Bali, well away from the noise, hawkers and scooters. An eight hour round trip from lake and volcano, on small uncrowded bitumen, complete with authentic potholes, through villages, paddy fields, past temples and endless friendly farmers. The photo opportunities are numerous. The bicycles are sturdy and have fine brakes. Our guide Made was a font of information. The ride itself lasted about three hours, but our day included transport, breakfast with a stunning view, water, numerous stops, a few steep hills which we walked up, a visit to a farm where civet-coffee is sold, a village where preparations for a cremation were being made, a cockfight, a farmer's home, a late lunch, and the best banana I have tasted. You may not stumble upon the same events, but I guarantee it will be a ride you will savour, and at a very reasonable cost.

The overall experience is good, especially cycling at the padi field. However, its good to check the weather, make sure it's not too hot.
Eventhough the path is not too difficult, but minimal stamina still required, because the whole journey took 3 hr.
The guide is very thoughtful. You can feel free to stop any time for some water, photo taking or even to reapply sun block lotion. The guide will ensure u are well taken care.
This tour included also water, banana (to give more energy perhaps), breakfast and lunch. Lunch was homecook and its delicious.
This tour also gave me opportunity to know a new friend, which is a bonus to me :-)

We took the full day tour and it was well worth the cost! Ketut is a fun and considerate host, and has his tour well planned. My 6 year old son managed the ride easily, and we were both happy that the van was available for 2 of the big hills! Lunch was delicious at the end of the day at ketut's home as well! Thanks again Ketut! Karen
