As a backpacker and budget traveler I was absolutely amazed with this accommodation located in centre of Ubud with beautiful and peaceful garden. Lovely stay for very good money with breakfast included and jug with hot water for a tea or coffee all day long. Will definitely stay again!

Greeeat place to stay in ubud and the place is stunning for the price of a night! Rooms are clean. Bathroom is open and insane, showering on a pedestal. The view of the balcony is serene and green, as ubud is. Location is also great, in the middle of ubud center, but no street noise. A major pluspoint would be the nice breakfast of fruits, scrambled eggs on toast and banana pancakes which are all included in the price. Also complimentary hot water for tea before going to bed as well as in the morning when you wake up. Minor points: waking up because of the neighbors sounds above you and we only got 1 hot shower out of 6 times. The guesthouse also offers its own agency and through them you can rent steady mountainbikes, scooters and make several bookings like climbing the mount Batur. Pick up at the guesthouse 2.30 by their own driver for better price than the tours you see on the Internet!

We stayed at Padma for six nights. Staff (the family that runs the place) are very friendly and the service is excellent. Expect them to set out little offerings by your garden-view balcony each day. When it gets dark, they also place anti-mosquito spirals on your balcony so you can sit outside mosquito-free. Tea and coffee is also served two times a day (right on your balcony of course), one time for breakfast (your choice of omelette, scrambled eggs or banana pancakes, all accompanied by a fruit salad) and one time in the afternoon. Breakfast is free of charge, as is all the bottled mineral water you can drink.
The room we where in had a fridge and a fan. This is fine in Ubud where the nights are cooler, so AC is not really necessary. The rooms feature open air bathrooms (and supposedly hot showers, even though we only had cold water), and there are no mosquito nets.
The street outside Padma is very nice with nice restaurants (especially the little "jazz" restaurant just across the street), a few shops and a small internet cafe. If you walk up the road away from Ubud, you end up in beautiful rice fields.
The cleanliness of the rooms was good, however the area around the bathroom sink could use a better cleaning. The walls are paper thin, so expect to hear your neighbours, and them to hear you.
We paid 250.000 to. Per night, which was a good deal (cheaper rooms are also available). We had a great stay with Padma!
// thanks!

We spent 5 nights at padma, and didn't want to leave. For 200,000 IDR a night you get a spacious room, outdoor shower, patio and garden view. Breakfast was included. Great location, close to tons of little restaurants, massage parlors, and of course, Starbucks. The only minor issue was very thin walls.

The rooms were stunning, kept spotlessly clean by the friendly staff. Our downstairs room looked out onto a small garden courtyard with fountain. Our bathroom had an outdoor shower element incorporated into it.

2 minute walk to the rice fields, and 2 minutes to the Palace. Lots of cheap eateries nearby. Breakfast is included (option of pancakes or eggs any style, toast and lots of fresh fruit) and tea is brought round in the afternoon free of charge.

Onsite travel office is willing to give steep discounts to in-house guests - just ask! Overall a great stay - advisable to book ahead in busy season.
