Have done a number of cooking classes across SE Asia and Paon Bali was the best all round experience that we have had. The class commences with a tour of the Ubud markets and then you are driven to a local village where you are given a great insight to the life of traditional Bali family life. You visit the village rice fields a and then the cooking class is conducted in a well set-up family home. You get involved with the cooking of soup through to dessert and then enjoy your creations. Cold drinks and tea are provided on arrival and cold Bintang is available to purchase during the class. The class from pick- up to drop- off in Ubud was 6.5 hours and cost was 350,000 rupiah - well worth it - highly recommended.

Our day with 'Aunty' Puspa & her gracious husband Wayan was fun-filled & absolutely fabulous! Paon cooking school gives you an authentic Balinese experience & I must say we cooked & ate some of the best Balinese cuisine I have eaten in my entire life!

My 2 children aged 9 & 12 loved it so much & I couldn't keep my daughter away from the wok! Their comments sum it up - "Mum, that was awesome..sooo cool!"...."that's the best thing we have done in Bali so far" ... Thank you Puspa for a truly enchanting day x

Puspa n Wayan took tutoring to another level. We hear of group management. It was playing out beautifully. I was part of a sizable group and there were denizens from more than three nationalities ... We all , irrespective of age, got down to enjoy Balinese cooking, the way of life n access to small details which Nat Geo may miss .... In short it was a day well spent and I'd you have time for just one thing.... Paon Bali must top your list

We were picked up from our villa and went straight to the wet market to understand the day to day life of a Balinese.

We were then brought to Puspa house and welcomed with a cooling iced drink. She gave us a house tour to understand the 3 levels of beings. Cooking class the began and it was so interesting! All ingredients were mainly from the garden. The whole process was very hygienic, clean and organized.

Auntie Puspa is really humorous!

Most importantly , the food was so yummy and the portions were so generous! We had hard copies of the recipes to bring back! Suggest Puspa should just give us soft copies through email! :)
