“Lovely spot to eat and enjoy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Very well presented food.. delicious simple menu - the watermelon juice is yummy! A friendly place - small with very pretty setting in a quiet street. Enjoy the sound of the frogs in the water pond while you savour the flavours of Bali.

“Wonderful family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

We tried Wild Ginger after reading reviews on Trip Adviser and were not disapointed.
Nyoman and Putu were very welcoming, especially as we had our daughter and her 15 months old son with us as his name is also Putu.
Food was excellent and the "Ginger Fiz" was out of this world.
They are only open for dinner and only have 4 tables so is best to make a reservation?
Restaurant is about 200m from the Palace Rd not up near the Fitness Centre as per map.
We will definately return.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

It wasn't so easy to find this restaurant, but it was definitely worth keep looking for it! When we finally found it, we've been positively surprised by the place: four wooden tables, peace and quiet all around. It's owned by a Balinese family who prepares delicious food and serve it with a smile. Here you can get the real taste of the Balinese cuisine for a really good price. Go for it :)

“Excellent Value.. So Cheap!! Highly recommended.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

After reading the reviews on trip advisor thought we would give this restaurant a go. We were not disappointed. Location off the beaten track but luckily we had the address for our taxi driver. There are only four tables at the restaurant so we had booked a table prior to arriving. People were turning up with no booking and were being turned away due to the place being full. Basically around 16 seats in total. The food is traditional local food with a simple menu and a price that more then reasonable. The two of us ate 3 main dishes, soft drink, waters and 2 desserts with the total bill coming to 150,000 rupiah. The quality was home style cooking like their mum was cooking it from their kitchen. The place is sort of a house converted into a restaurant but it adds to the character. Would definitely eat there again. Highly recommended.

“If my mother opened a cafe....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

.....in her front garden, it would be like this.

Four tables, limited menu centred around a speciality of Putu's sauce and very friendly. If that's for you then you won't go wrong.

It didn't quite hit the mark for me. There are just two starters and one of then was not available so we went straight for a main....the speciality. It was delicious, as was the fried banana for desert.

Lovely friendly people but we had finished in under an hour, I had a feeling of been fed rather than going out for dinner.

A bit like going to my mother's.....

Not knocking the place just not raving about it either.
