On arrival we discovered Praety was undergoing construction works. Luckily they have a second property Praety 2 within 5 minutes walk. Was showed a room there as alternative. Decided to stay at Praety 2. The room was nice and good value for money. Well located in Ubud. 2 minutes by scooter to the centre or 10 minutes by walk. Breakfast was amazing and I looked forward to it each morning. Only downside was no A/C but it's not a complaint as I booked knowing this and it is homestay. Good value for money.

First of all, you need to walk along a small footpath for about 100m in order to get to the property. However, once you arrive at the property, you would find that it's nice and cosy. The room is clean but remember to bring your insect repellent along with you as you would need it. There is no airconditioning but there is a fan in the room. There is no hot water shower if you are hoping for one. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. This also means that you need to place your order about 30min in advance (especially if you are in a hurry) and the staff would bring your breakfast to your room. Location-wise, is quite OK. Not too far from all the restaurants, shops, art market, etc. within Ubud. There's alos a shuttle bus to various places including the airport at a relatively inexpensive price. The staff would be most happy to assisit you with details. It's value for money.

I spent 3 nights here, it's off the main street down a small alley, no traffic noise at all maybe just a few roosters in the morning..
Such a friendly family that run the place always happy to help with a smile.
The room was clean, comfy bed, mosquito net, and fan..bathroom, basic but it has what you need, you get your own little table seating outside your room, very relaxing.
Amazing breakfasts with the room, I recommend the fruit salad.
I'd stay again if I were going to return..

The homestay is beautiful and well kept. The surroundings are green and nice and the owners are really polilte and helpful. I booked my trip to gili t and mt batur from here itself. The breakfast is lavish and if you are like me with a small appetite you wont be able to finish it one go. I saved it for later. The optons is breakfast are good to i like the sunflower jaffle. Looks homemade and tastes homemade and delicious. The rooms are spacious and big and we had a outdoor sitting as well. It was reallly great. If i am back in ubud i can think of coming back.

I stayed for about 8 days at both their properties (praety 1 & 2). For me the breakfast alone was a reason good enough to stay here. The same gorgeous breakfast in one of those touristy cafe's will cost you twice or thrice. So, it being included as part of your stay makes the place super value. Now, book well ahead in time. I could never book it more than two days at a stretch. And online prices always were 3-4 usd better than what you might get as walk in. Although if you are to stay longer than say 3-4 days you might have a better chance. So, praety 1 is the real homestay with a family staying downstairs. The rooms are older and slightly noisy at times cos the Balinese have roosters and they tend to croak at odd hours. Praety 2 was quiet and prettier. It is for the private tourist. For here, besides the breakfast hours there is no one around. The rooms are nicer and beds extremely comfortable. It is about 100 mts from praety 1. Also, it has a very nice Balinese girl vidya look after it. Comparing the quality and portions of breakfast. The kitchen at Praety 1 being more experienced does a way better job. Overall, both the properties are well located allowing you to simply walk to many places of tourist interest. There is not arrangement for water so one mostly has to go out and buy their bottle of water. The wifi we decent at both the places. Rooms will be cleaned when requested. Not the cheapest but a great place to stay in ubud.
