“Middle-of-the-road place in central Ubud”
Reviewed October 3, 2012 via mobile

Very plain rooms and bathrooms. Good breakfast and pool. Has in-house spa and massage facilities, otherwise nothing special.

Excellent location (30 seconds walk onto Monkey Forest Road). The price is quite reasonable for central Ubud.

Rooms are basice but spacy.Bathroom is little bit worse in compare with room but still OK.
You should check rooms at higher floors. We stayed at last floor at central building in room with AC and it was nice room with great view.We also had evening monkey visit from near monkey forest :)
Pool is part of those bungalows, but we didnt swim in it cause it looked little bit dirty to us.
Staff was smiling all time and friendly.Breakfast was smaller then we expected and you must pay extra money for some extra pancakes.
Anyway it was quite fine stay for quite fione price(350000Rp for room with breakfast)

Room Tip: Try to get rooms at "villas" or at higher floors at central building

Stayed here late July 2012 for two nights with family of 5 - kids aged 4, 5 and 7. THE GOOD - the location and they had a pool. THE BAD - Staff look and act like they'd rather be somewhere else. Our room (on the top floor) was incredibly damp, it stunk and the mattress was so damp it was wet. Requested rooms together they put us a long way apart. They upgraded us to a villa (these were ok). The breakfast (included) was the worst feed we had in bali - YUK!! Unless you like an upmarket backpackers keep looking. We stayed in 4 other places in Bali for a similar price and this was the worst by far.

Room Tip: I would only stay in a villa here. The cheaper rooms are poor.

Although the room is basic, it was adequate for the price. The swimming pool and common areas were nice, the staff was helpful and the breakfast correct. Although it is located in the busy Monkey Forest road it is a quite place.

I had to ask every day for toilet paper because it was scarce, but the staff was always willing to help.

This is a completely adequate hotel for $30 a night. The rooms are centered around a very nice pool with lounge area. Our room had two large double beds, and sheets were changed every two days. We had a nice porch with chairs and a table. The room was clean but not spotless, and we did have a small leak in the bathroom but nothing major.

Staff was very helpful in organizing tours and airport taxis. The location is great, right on Monkey Forest in walking distance to many attractions, dance shows, and tons of restaurants / spas / shops. Definitely not 5 stars, but for $30 a room I wouldn't be expecting any more.

Room Tip: Look for a room by the pool

OMG if you are about to stay here you better pack your bag and get ready on a trip to hell.
I felt like I was sleeping in a bin and someone disposed a nappy because it smells and mushrooms grow out of the roof. I had to decorate my room with objects we borrowed from a bin, but that didnt make a difference, because it is already a dump.
The toilets don't flush and everything you touch breaks. The poor fish don't even get fed, so my brother was kind enough to feed them, but because the hadn't ever been fed them a few blew up and one lost an eye. My brother was very kind from doing this. Don't take my advice for advantage, or you may lose it.

Room Tip: The bin is a great place.

This centrally located place is affordable (basic room was 30 $ in high season), but is lacking compared to its neighbor the Sagitarius Inn (where I stayed the previous night). After settling in, I realized I had to go to reception to get toilet paper and a towel, which were halfheartedly surrendered. A large gap under the door (3 in) gave pause for thought when I saw a rat near reception.
