“If You're Not Counting Pennies Then There's Lots To Like Here”
Reviewed October 14, 2011

If you're backpacking, then a meal here will probably cost about the same as your room for a night, so unless you're really craving good baked goods you might want to walk by. By local Ubud standards it's expensive.

But if you're not watching your budget too closely, the vibe here is mellow, the food is good, the coffee is fantastic, there's wifi and it's relaxed.

I had a lamb burger, which to be honest I could have got cheaper and better in my home city of Singapore. Nice enough though. What I really liked was the coffee, which was authentically strong and Italian.

It's nice upstairs, and none seems in a hurry to get you out.

“Falafel Wrap = life changing!”
Reviewed October 12, 2011

To feed 10 hungry yogis at my High Vibe Yoga Immersion, I ordered Kue's Falafel wraps to be delivered to the retreat location. This is by far on of my fav meals in town and I wanted to share it with everyone! EVERYONE absolutely loved the wraps, the tahini, the hummous... yum! Thanks Kue - you rock!

“Best Western Lunch in Ubud”
Reviewed October 4, 2011

The food is always beautifully prepared with the freshest ingredients. A nice and varied selection of delicious food, sandwiches served on house made foccacia, noodle dishes, and wonderful coffee and the best desserts. Pleasant surroundings upstairs overlooking the main street in Ubud. Friendly staff.

“best chocolates in town, and a cute upstairs cafe”
Reviewed September 28, 2011

Great breads, chocolates, and other yummies from the bakery. Great birthday and Wedding cakes, and tasty food upstairs in the cafe. Also don't miss out on their nice coffees. Yummy!

“Just like home”
Reviewed August 28, 2011

Sitting high above the busy main street in a comfortable chair was just the tonic after a long walk stopping in just about every second shop in atmospheric Hanoman Street. Once inside Kue, I had a very slow trip past the delicious chocolates on display in the glass cabinets. Then I spotted the scones that looked just like they'd been made by my mum so that caused even further delay. But I was glad I went upstairs to watch the activity going on in the busy street below.
Service here is very good - quiet, helpful and attentive.
The coffee was tasty, the cappaccino good; it wasn't great but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and the froth wasn't thick and creamy. The sultana scone was perfect!
I was tempted by the chocolate treats in the cabiniet to eat later. They too were divine.
