“convenient location in Ubud”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April on our 1st visit to Ubud/Bali. This place is centrally located and next to an excellent restaurant (Cinta Grill). It is down the alley way and minute walk from the main street (Monkey Forest Road). If you book tours just tell them to pick you up in front of Cinta Grill, everyone knows where that is. Anywho, the driver from the B&B picked us up from the hotel and drove us straight there (I recommend doing this, that way you don't have to deal with the hundreds of drivers at the airport trying to get your business). We booked the big room with veranda, which we found spacious. The only complaint I have is that there's no blanket, just a sheet cover. Not that it's cold or anything, but I'm just used to sleeping with something heavier than a sheet. When you're ready for breakfast (or the day before let them know what time you want breakfast the next day) just let the cook know and she will make it for you and bring it up to the room so you can enjoy it on the veranda :) We paid $150 USD for 3 nights and airport pick-up service, which isn't the cheapest but we thought it was good value. I enjoyed staying at the B&B with a Balinese family and got a tiny taste of what a family compound is like there.

Note: good sleep quality as you're down the alley way so no bar noises from the main street or chickens either :)

Extremely friendly Balinese family, helpful & jovial.

The house is located at the end of a small alley, just off Monkey Forest Rd, so very central, convenient to walk around Ubud, and grab a bite in one of the many restaurants near-by. We stayed in the deluxe room with on-suite bathroom & private balcony. As they perfectly describe it, the room is on the first floor to catch the breeze, overlooking high trees with the sounds of birds, gamelan practice and children playing. So true... and so nice!

What they don't say is that they really make you feel like part of it! That was our first time in Bali, 5 days in Ubud. We only had the room booked and the rest was total improvisation. From the minute we landed, we were in their good care. They got us picked up from the airport to the front porch of the house for a very reasonable price, dressed us "local" to attend temple ceremonies, arranged for a day cycling tour, took [me] fishing with them and shared a cooking and dining "celebration" of our catch with their family.

I can only praise and thank them for their kindness and availability.
If / when we go back to Ubud, we definitely know where we'd be staying at.

Room Tip: it's much much more than a room in a guest-house experience!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The host was very helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. She arranged taxi and boat trip for its at a very competitive price.

The rooms were very clean with a comfortable bed.

Wi-Fi signal inside the room is poor, but outside is ok. Breakfast was good, but we would prefer to choose what to eat instead of being served several things.

Location is really good, just beside a few good restaurants.

This place really offers a excellent value for money.

Stayed here for the second time as we just couldn't find anything more reasonable in Ubud. Once again a very pleasant stay. We hired a nice bike from the family, booked some transport through them, and enjoyed the variety of breakfast which isn't always the case in Bali. Banana pancakes, egg jaffle, scrambled eggs, with very nice sliced fruit and of course Bali Kopi! We thoroughly recommend this home stay!

Room Tip: The deluxe room has an enclosed balcony opening from your room, whereas from the other rooms you hav...

We stayed for 7 nights in Ubud Dream and we had a wonderful time there. Titik and her family are really nice and helpful, it makes you feel you're living like in a balinese family. We're happy to be in Bali during Galungan period, and the family temple was even more beaufiful with colourful decorations.

We stayed 3 nights in the standard room and 4 in the deluxe room. The only difference is the bathroom and a private balcony. If we're going back we'll probably stay in the standard room as it super clean and big enough. If you want some more privacy, go for the deluxe.

Brekfast is really good, especially the greenish banana pancake. Days in Bali start very early in the morning so don't be surprised if you hear people speaking (or the kids playing) before 7am, that's just the way it is all over the island and you'll get used to it. The house itself is in Mandia Lane, a small street crossing with Monkey Forest, afterCinta Grill and in fornt of Cafe Wayan.

Finally for all your travel or excursions queries, Titik will be kind enough to book a driver at reasonable price, and laundry is also available.

We had a great moment there and we know where to go next time we're in Ubud.

The room was clean and large but fairly basic. The location is great (just off Monkey Forest Road, behind Chinta Grill). Close to everything but still quiet. It was nice to have breakfast on the balcony outside the room each morning. It would suit a backpacker if the price was right. I paid about AUD 40 a night which is almost double what it says on TripAdvisor as the average price. If you are a backpacker, you want a clean, quiet, basic room to crash in that's in a good location and you get the room for around AUD 25 then this is a good choice but for AUD 40 there are nicer places to stay in Ubud.

I stayed here for a week after reading the reports on Tripadvisor, I was very pleased with my choice! It is in a very central location whilst also being very peaceful. The family are lovely and were very kind to get me some coffee when I asked where it was from! The room was large and very clean, with a very nice bathroom. There is a nice balcony to eat breakfast on with a beautifull view of the garden next door. I was on my own and felt very safe here, it is very centrally located off Monkey Forest Road so easy to walk around the town but nice and quiet once you come off the main road. I will definately stay there again!
