Description: Black Beach Italian restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine. We offer the best traditional Italian food, with light cooking techniques which make our food tasty, healthy and balanced. Our dishes are made with fresh and high quality ingredients. We make with passion our pizza dough which has a slow rising, so our pizza is highly digestible. We are specialized in the most popular recipes of pasta, lasagna (also vegetarian and vegan) and gnocchi; we serve also different kind of bruschetta, sandwiches, omelets, fresh salads and delicious homemade desserts, like our famous Tiramisu. Anytime you can enjoy an espresso, cappuccino, hot or iced tea and refreshing tropical juices in our amazing terrace with a beautiful view above Ubud, especially at sunset, or enjoy the free wi-fi on the ground floor in a friendly homey atmosphere. Every Wednesday and Thursday at 8 pm evening we organize a movie night on the terrace. The admission is free. Our philosophy is "Tasty and Healthy Together Forever." The Healthy concept is complex and we have dedicated many years to improve it, the Tasty concept is a pleasure that always inspires us.

“Simply tasty & great environment”
Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

My first visit tonight to black beach with a friend who had been there a number of times. To begin with the restaurant has a roof top view, which allows for a cool breeze to flow through to assist in cooling one down. Staff were very attentive & polite with the menu offering a wide range to chose from including the Indonesian standards. The antipasto i chose for starters was simply wonderful with the flavours combining brilliantly. I had the calabrese pizza for main with hot salami. The size was ample, so much so I could not eat it all. The tomato base was fresh with a lovely cheese. I highly recommend this place for a very cheap and tasty meal.

“I love this place”

Best Italian restaurant in Ubud, maybe the world. OK, that's a bit of hyperbole. Have eaten here several times. Terrific spaghetti with clams, for just $4. Beat that.

“Avoid if you're hungry!”
Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

Strolled into this empty place one day at lunchtime, figuring I stood a reasonably good chance at getting served fairly quickly. Eventually found out why it was empty: after waiting for my food for 30 min., my hunger pangs took me out the door. How long does it take a chef to cook for one customer? Apparently, a loooooooong time. Go someplace where they care.

“100% italian”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Really good pizzas, very different of what I had tried before.. very original. The owner is a woman from Rome, so it's real italian food.

Oddly, they don't have soft drinks. The free Wi-Fi only works downstairs. They close kitchen about 22h.
