We went there for a day trip on our own, meet a local friend who showed us the way through the terraces, then drink some coconut water with him in his warung just outside his house and he give us some kopi coffee to taste. People here were the most friendly we met in our Bali trip

While staying in Ubud, the incredible town in the Balinese mountains, please do not miss visiting the rice terrace fields. Otherwise, you'll regret forever ... Very scenic, very green and totally peaceful. You'll surely be fascinated by Ubud's rice terrace fields, the opportunity of witnessing the miracle of daily life and the importance of feeding people. Be aware of vendors, they'll do their best to catch your attention. Enjoy!

Came here for a day trip while in Ubud, a nice place but not really impressive as it is quite small. Good to have a nice lunch or meal there enjoying the sceneries.

Be prepared when taking photographs with the locals there as they may demand you to give them some money if you took a picture of them.

Jatiluwih rice field are much more impressive and bigger as compared to this.

Take your time once you get there. There are plenty of shops to indulge in or take a walk down to the terrraces to experience the vertical rice terrraces and the irrigation system that delivers life to these parts of the land.

Been here just once and as a first timer and a local, i am quite happy to visit this small area.

Dont imagine it as a big huge massive rice terraces since this is quite a small area (roughly less than 1km long - if you are planning to walk the road. I hope you could understand what i mean).

But this is something different and beautiful. The place is not crowded as the monkey forrest road ubud so you could just sit back, order a cup of bali coffee and enjoy the rice terrace scenery.

There are few souvenirs shop and let me tell you that their prices are cheaper than the monkey forrest or kuta (of course).

Quite happy to came here and able to take pictures of the scenery.

Recommended for first time visitors, family or group of travelers.
