It's actually a really nice place.. only if they'd sort the place out!!

Not even close to enough hot water to fill the spa bath in both rooms, very noisy bed. When moved to a different room 90% of the lights didn't work and their was a sewerage smell coming from the bathroom. In both rooms the water also constantly was turned off.. this happened 5 times in 3 days!! The nicer of the two pools with the best view also had no water in it. Throughout our stay NONE of these things were fixed. Our entree sized free lunch and 2 hr late check out did not make up for any of this this.

Also if you do ignore all this and stay there, don't eat the pizza, it's the worst pizza my partner and I have ever had by far and the restaurants portions in general are very small. turn left out of the hotel and only 100m down the road there's a really nice little restaurant with all kinds of awesome food and not expensive.

Anhera Suite and Spa is a nice place with friendly staff. The first impression at our arrival was wow!A second glimps showed that the place needs redecoration. The lock of the outside door broke twice during our stay.Although there were only 2 suites (out of 8) used during our stay we had to inform the staff daily that we had no water for shower. We stayed at the Sumatra suite which is right on top, quiet and a lovely garden that belongs to the suite. This hotel is about 20 minutes away from Ubud center and if their car is available they take you there. This resort is not for people with walking problems.
What was really bad was our bed.As soon as somebody moved the other woke up because of the noise the mattress made.I told the boss to buy a new one...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days, end of March. The place is really nice. The bungalow is beautifully decorated, very much Balinese style. We stayed in bungalow Jawa, it has it's own pool with breathtaking view over the hill. Although the hote itself stretches on the hill, so to get to the Jawa bungalow (and the opposite one, can't remember the name) - you need to overcome quite a few steps, which might be challenging if you have bad knees, for example, or any other issues.
There is a damp smell in the room, but I think it's hard to get rid of it anywhere in Bali. The room nice and very clean though, no signs of damp.
Had several meals in the hotel restaurant - the food is good, but portions are tiny. So good for a small bite, but if you are really hungry, you'd better look somewhere else.
Hotel staff is great, extremely nice and helpful.

Room Tip: Bungalows Jawa and opposite to it (can't remember the name) have swimming pool with fantastic vi...

We started at Ubud first so that later when we moved to Sanur, were closer to the airport. Anhera organised an airport pickup in their hotel van which was convenient after a sleepless overnight flight. Staff were very friendly when being greeted as we arrived and throughout our stay. There are 8 large suites, all with spa bath (very relaxing at the end of the day), comfortable beds & large toilet dresser areas & fast wifi. The 2 lower suites share a private smaller pool which overlooks a forested valley. Best view from a swimming pool that I have seen. Hotel has a restaurant & next to the hotel there is also a good restaurant with again magnificient views. The location is just outside the main shopping areas, but close enough for a short taxi ride.

Room Tip: All rooms look private & in good locations. The lower 2 suites with its own pool lets you jump o...

if u r looking for a relaxing stay, about the outskirt of ubud city, within 5 mins walks from naughty nuris, the best ribs in town, so it is the place. small boutique hotel, private and friendly service. absolutely worth the value! choose the villa with the pool view at the very front of the valley and ricefield. the view, the room, the pool plus the amazing big jacuzzi, those all what we wanted for a dream relaxing holiday ever.. even the room service only available till 11pm, ask the reception the little boy there to buy some food out, and they will smile and do it for you. excellent!

Room Tip: choose one of those 2 villa at the very front view + pool, the best option!

The Best thing about Anhera is their excellent service. Anhera's manager, Imam is very animated and cheerful. He understands the true meaning of service and making guests comfortable. When my daughter wasn't feeling well, and I was looking for bitter gourd leaves, he went to the local market with the suites' driver and came back w the closest thing to it since it wasn't to be found in the island. He also prepared a ginger-honey drink to soothe my poor little girl's throat. He helped us when our booking at our second villa turned nightmarish after the other hotel manager lost our booking despite us being fully paid weeks back thru their own website. He helped us communicate w the other establishment our frustration and assisted us in finding another accommodation. As he offered an extended stay at Anhera.

Imam wasn't the only one at the place who gave excellent service. One call for room service and they're at our room the next instant. We request for anything-- change sheets, pitcher of water, extra utensils... It arrives instantly, with a smile.

We stayed at Sumatra suite. We would've wanted the Bali or Java suite as it had its own pool but it was occupied and Sumatra wasn't at all bad. It was big with a balcony that opens to the view of mountains and rice fields. It had a big spacious bathroom with double sink and a nicely appointed jacuzzi.

The suite offers free shuttle anywhere in Ubud and it was always available for us for pickup or to bring us to town.

Monkey Forest road or somewhere near the Ubud palace would've been the ideal location for me so you wouldn't need to be shuttled to see the beautiful town. Anhera is about 5-10minute drive, still not far but not right smack where the lovely stores and warungs (restos) are.

Oh and price-wise, it gives good value for money. An extra bed for my mother-in-law cost us 30usd including bfast. As compared to our 2nd villa in t. Benoa that cost $100 usd incl bfast

CONS: One, the room had a humidity to it that some people who might be allergic to damp surroundings might react to. Both me and my daughter are allergic to that and we took antihistamines our whole stay which easily blocked the discomfort. Two, the breakfast had small servings could use more selections and creativity.

Otherwise we loved anhera and would gladly recommend it.

Room Tip: Book a Bali or Java room for your exclusive pool. If you don't mind going down maybe 4 flts down...

We stayed at the Anhera for a week while attending the Ubud Writers Festival. Small boutique hotel of eight separate suites in a spectacular garden setting on a hill side. Very comfortable (in fact quite luxurious). Free wifi. Breakfast included. Excellent service. They couldn't have been more helpful. Always ready to transport us around town too and pick us up (as well as providing airport transport at a reasonable price). Highly recommended.
