Love love love their authentic Thai food...which is so hard to find in Bali. Definitely try the drunken noodles, very flavourful and texture is really unique. They do the Spivey really well so if you enjoy spice, ask them to amp up the Chilli level

We tried the Aperol spritz and Gimlet cocktails, they were really tasty. Not too sweet. They also have quite a great selection of beers. The Duck in The Lotus Pond dessert was really yummy and interesting, definitely worth a try if you like salty & sweet!

Housed in a former art gallery, Thy Neighbour has got it right when it comes to consistency of the feeling evoked by the decor and the food they serve.

If your visit is at night, you'll see that the pink neon outside should contrast the old-style Balinese structure, yet it becomes something completely different and stylish. The same can be said of the food - the dish might be familiar or traditional but the twists improve it and brought something fresh to the table.

On our visit, we ordered an entree, three main dishes, and a dessert:
1. Larb Tort - Highlight of the night, first time I've had a Larb done that way.
2. Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab - This was a special on the night, very delicious.
3. Glass Noodles with Prawn and Pork Belly - This is my favourite Thai dish, so I was very happy.
4. Chicken Red Curry - definitely better than any other red curry I've had, the method is a bit different. Won't spoil what the twist is.
5. Mango Sticky Rice - also not your typical mango sticky rice, very smart way of playing with this well-known dessert.

If you are familiar with Thai food and culture, you probably have encountered a specific Thai way of eating fresh pineapples. No? Then look it up. I would strongly recommend to order the Pineapple Daiquiri. Yep, it's done differently too. This made the night to be honest.

But if you're not sure about the menu, make sure to ask for help from Poorich and Tika - they will be able to recommend things, including drinks. The beer Poorich selected for me was perfect. It wasn't Balinese nor Thai, but that's why it's on the menu.

While you're there, make sure to enjoy the music and the pictures on the wall. The collection came from Poorich's own grandparents - so there is a history of good taste there.

We visited on a rainy night for dinner and we are very satisfied with the service and food.
The Chicken wings are spicy and Sour that gave the love hate taste that it's so spicy and yet refreshing that we urge for more.
The tom yum soup is very authentic, the basil crispy roast pork is very very yummy.
Will revisit again if we will to visit ubud again.

I was so excited to try this new Thai restaurant. I’d walked by a few times and peeked inside admiring the design. The owner is super friendly and told me they converted a furniture store into the restaurant. He’s from Thailand and the chef is also Thai so you know it’s authentic.

The red curry with chicken was absolutely the best curry I’ve had in Bali. It was so delicious I took the sauce home just to eat with plain white rice. We also had the salted egg with sweet chili paste and squid which was great.

They played funky Thai music and the chef came to the table asking if we needed any help. All the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Can’t wait to return and try more dishes!
