“Boutique hotel set into a valley, away from the centre of ubud.”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

We stayed here with 2 small children in a family villa that consisted of a master room and a twin room connected by a unsecured open breeze way between the rooms with couches and a small entertaining area. The rooms were great and well appointed the master bed had a massive kingsize 4 post bed (that all 4 of us could easily fit in) a huge barthroom with a mega rain shower. The twin room has 2 large comfy single beds and again a well appointed bathroom, with a bath and hand held shower. The only problem we found with the rooms was the bathrooms had poor lighting, probably due the external surfaces of sky lights needing a good clean. We didn't actually like the room configuration for our family as the small children were totally seperate from the adults and we would have prefrred a interconnecting room, in the end they spent most nights in our bed. This certainly wouldn't be an issue for older children, 10 years and up.
The hotel is amazing, set back from the road on multiple levels nestled into the side of a valley so for the room close to reception there are some amazing jungle views. Due to the layout of the hotel there are 5 infinity pools, some small private ones and some literally overhanging the valley with only jungle as far as the eye can see, the pool near the reception has an added diving platform for the adventurous.
The hotel is about a 5 min drive or 20 min walk to the centre of ubud, the hotel provides a shuttle service 4 times a day or expect to pay 40,000 for a private taxi, there are no official taxis in ubud.
We never ate at the hotel apart from breakfast, which was great. A number of eateries are close to the hotel including our favourite warung simple, a small restaurant providing a cheap set menu that changed daily, traditional food only.
Would we stay here again, definitely but not with small children. Thanks Beji. The Moores.

Beji Ubud is one of the nicest resorts in Bali!

We went there with our extended family for three days and enjoyed royal treatment from them. You can get the Villa and enjoy the extra space there.

Each bungalow is spread out perfectly so that you can still enjoy a nice and quiet evening with family.

Tips: ask the owners to call in their regular masseuse ... very relaxing!

It was a pleasant stay , clean room, quiet environment, surrounded by jungle, but nothing great/ amazing about it.

The pools were okay, but you can find other more amazing infinity pool in Ubud.

Breakfast was a big disappointment! (they only provide instant coffee)

We book this resort because the other hotels/resorts we wanted to stay were all fully booked.

with the money you are paying, I think you can definetly get a much better place to stay in ubud, with nicer infinity pool.

We stayed at Beji Ubud for 5 nights and had a great time. The staff were really friendly & helpful, and the location was perfect- just outside of the busy centre of Ubud but still close enough, & there was a free shuttle bus that took people into town. The setting with the gardens and pools were beautiful & tranquil. We stayed in a deluxe garden room & the only problems we found were that the walls were quite thin, so we could hear the people in the next door room talking one night & the first night we were there we also didn't have any hot water. We had breakfast every morning at the resort which was always really tasty & also had dinner there one night, which again was delicious. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Beji Ubud.

We stayed here for 3 nights in 4 rooms (9 people). Beji is located right in the middle of the jungle, 5 min drive to Ubud center. Judging by the pictures I saw online, I was expecting better looking and more comfortable rooms, but there were MANY drawbacks as well as some good things:

Pros:
-Nice location, great natural sights
-Amazing infinity pools! You should definitely try the one which is next to the front desk and the one just under it
-Staff members speak good English

Cons:
-Very poor lighting inside the rooms
-There was an ants nest
-We had to turn on the shower for 1 hour before we could get any hot water
-A small lizard in the bathroom took a dump over my head
-There was a small rat in the bathroom

All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Go anywhere closer to Ubud market or to one of the amazing and good-priced Villas.

Upon arrival, my BF and I were greeted by helpful staff and served us 3 welcome drinks (including a cup to our tour guide). We stayed 2 nights at Beiji Ubud Resort, in a Deluxe Valley room,3rd LG from the Lobby, so no wifi access. The room is spacious&we have balcony of which is not separated from the next room neighbour. However, the bathroom has a strong water leakage smell which we thought after a while it will go off. But, it never till the next morning it flooded a small part of the room.
We informed the reception&out for tour.Upon returning, they told us the leakage cannot be fixed and they have moved all our belongings to another room, Valley Chalet (bigger room), near to Lobby. However, they accidentally took my white towel(which they thought is their, also white colour) to laundry, they did realized till I've informed them&keep apologizing. The next morning, they managed to find it & return to me.
The staffs communicate simple English and are friendly. They do have 24hours services, one call, they will assist you.The breakfast so simple&dissapointing which you only get to choose 1 from the 5-6 options available, then the kitchen will prepare & serve..We ordered 2 sets of American breakfast, mine are - 2 slices of bread, 2 sunnysideup, 2 ham, 1 slice of cucumber and tomatoes each while my BF are 2 slices of bread, 2 sunnysideup, 1 slice of bacon, 1 slice of cucumber and tomatoes each. It appears in small portion and was not filing at all.
Besides, there are 5 pools, some are just in front of your room, some near to Lobby. The resort is no nearby convenient shops or cafe .
Overall, good experience staying with them. Ubud is a quiet place, and definitely suitable for quiet travelers. But, it is better for you to take a shuttle bus to 'town' of Ubud as the road are dark so, we did not explore outside from the resort. Along the way, there is a Cafe which is famous will grilled BBQ western food, recommended by our tour guide.

We had, with 2 kids, a great time in our family room in the Beji ubud resort. The family room with 2 badrooms was very nice and very good beds. The staff is very friendly at a level you do not except anymore these days. There are 5 swimming pools and it is never vey busy you get the feeling. it would be nice if they had more relax chairs to look at the magnificient view with a beer or wine. Transportation from the resort towards Ubud market is 3 times a day and for free, allthouh Ubud and the rest of Bali is quiet hectic with a lot of cars and scooters
