We stayed 7 nights in the garden room. Would have preferred verandah room with fridge but on booking it there was none on offer. But there are and they said we could have upgraded when we got here.
But staff very accommodating as we got our own kettle and mugs then would get milk from restaurant area.
Breakfast cooked fresh with lots of choice and not much more if you want something different. Great banana bread and fruit plate or fresh juice as starters.
20 min walk into town. Narrow road and no path. Shuttle each hour.

We stayed there for three nights and we enjoyed our stay. We had two standard rooms which were next to each other and in the same structure. So we had to patio and the balcony all to ourselves. Staff was friendly and happy to arrange drivers and day trips. Grounds were clean and well kept. Our rooms did not include breakfast but a la cart was cheap. The room itself was old and there was no tv. The bathroom and esp. the shower area was not well lit. For the price we paid I couldn't be too picky about it. The location of the hotel is not in downtown Ubud but you can walk or take a cab. The back door of the hotel leads you to local residences and small rice fields.

We booked a garden room and it was terrible.... as soon as we entered the room we were demoralised and upset. Spoke to the night manager who claimed to be fully booked, when he tried to sell tours to me etc he asked what my plans were for the following day, "looking for a better hotel" wasn't what he was expecting. The rooms were dark and dingy, bathroom facilities included a sanitary towel bag and shower cap, neither of which I needed and shower soap which was half empty, now I know hotels often refill these bottles but leaving them half empty does remind you the last guest has only just left....
There was no TV !!! No Mini bar and no fridge, the swimming pool was open to the public on payment of a fee and general upkeep was lacklustre. This may be ok for sandal wearing , hippie potters but I expect $100 hotels to have glass in all windows and a TV.

After another moan the following morning the overworked night manager showed us another room which was more suitable this was next to the restaurant, but had some of the modern appliences which make a stay more comfortable...

Breakfast was very good, but even when booking as a family of 4 you only have 2 breakfasts included!!! something I found very cheap! we spent most of our time out of the hotel, but the staff did try their hardest, it really is just the hotel itself needs a good shake up.....

15/ 20 mins walk to the centre of Ubud....

Room Tip: Book a large room, check they have tv, fridge etc even if you don't think its important it becom...

We upgraded to a larger room when we arrived as we wanted a bit more space and a tv. If you want a tv be careful when booking as some rooms don't have them.
We ended up with an upstairs room that had it's own balcony and a view of a lovely pool.
Four poster bed with mosquito net was great and the bathroom was a good size although the lighting was dim.
The best thing about this place was the service, in particular, the front desk staff, especially Mandy who was very helpful. We arranged a driver through reception and it worked out perfectly, we were very happy with the service.
It's about a 20 minute walk into Ubud, but there is a semi regular shuttle bus.
The restaurant wasn't great (no cocktaills!), although the nasi goreng was good.
The pools were huge, 3 different pools, one was big enough to swim proper laps in.
There was a bit of noise with barking dogs and crowing roosters (who didn't seem to understand they are only meant to crow at daybreak!).
It was nice to have a place a bit out of the bustling Ubud, I'd definitely stay here again.

We recently spent a week at Hotel d'Omah in Yogyakarta and cannot praise it highly enough. It has all mod-cons as well as buckets of charm, atmosphere and authenticity. A real Java experience! Though loaded with Javanese antiques and superb contemporary artworks, the feel of d'Omah is unpretentious, and the service is friendly and helpful. The kitchen turned out hearty breakfasts (included) and an excellent range of local and international cuisines in the airy restaurant overlooking the rice fields. There are a variety of room styles and sizes each with unique batik wall-coverings and cool tiled floors, and most with private pools dotted among the verdant gardens, shaded by mature trees and coconut palms. We visited a five-star resort in the area and although it had grandure, elegance, and a price to match it is was soulless and, well, boring. Not d'Omah. It was established to re-kindle the village economy after the devastating 2006 earthquake and is now well-integrated, and expanding, within the life of the village. For the discerning traveller the d'Omah provides an exquisite base with easy access to the Borodudor, Prambanan and beautiful Yogyakarta. You'll find surprises around every corner.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in a private villa with its own pool. It's like living with friends.

My husband and I have just been once again (third time) to this really beautiful haven in Ubud. We really love this place and will return, however this time is felt like it needed some tender loving care. The pools need some more relaxers around it as we could not lay next to the pool because there were people in the room opposite us and they took them. There were only 2 chairs by the Suite rooms and only 2 at the main pool and there needs to be a few more so that relaxation time is annoyance free. The garden seemed as though it needed a bit more TLC as well as it's usually beautifully kept and this time it was a bit unkempt. The rooms also need a bit of a paint and brighten up. However, these are minor details and the rooms are so comfortable still. The bathroom lights were better and brighter in our room, Chili Suite, and that was a great improvement. We stayed in the Jasmine villa for a night with us upstairs and family downstairs and that place was absolutely perfect. The outdoor living area is superb and the private pool wonderful. The bedrooms are enormous and all have a lovely outlook. It is still a great place and we recommend it for a relaxing time away from the centre of Ubud - but it's easy to get in with the shuttle (and only about 3 mins drive).

Room Tip: We love the Chilli Suite - large, quiet and it has an enormous verandah
