All round good but not luxurious which I did not want but all the same comfortable, spacious and clean. You do need to have a few extra coat hangers as with all places. Mozzies can get in through the gaps so repellant plug ins and a spray is a MUST. The company does put mozzie burners outside in the evening so shows they are caring. You do need to provide your own tea bags or coffee if you like a decent cuppa in the morning as the local brew is !!!!! I took my own and the staff made a nice pot for me at breakfast. Hopefully the swimming pool and sun beds will be updated soon as they were in need of updating. Saw some chaps measuring the pool so perhaps they will make it a little better but it is cleaned every day and provide nice towels. Clean bedding and towels every day. Just opposite the entrace to the bungalows.. almost... there is a laundry that washes and irons your clothing for almost nothing so no need to bring piles of clothing, fantastic service but warning on the bras they are heaving on the ironing, best diy your girl holders. Staff helpful, airport pickup excellent, organised trips out from the Bungalow using their staff, again excellent, though one drivers didn't seem to know much but ok, the other driver I heard was excellent from my fellow travellers. Locally everything that you need. Make sure you go only to restaurants that seem full, they are the best... avoid places that have few people, speaks for itself. Medical services locally but very pricey so travelarmed with plenty of own meds. Hope you enjoy your trip, I have been three times and even enjoyed a very week but take a couple of books for raininy days and yes I nearly forgot a Torch /Flash light is a MUST.Here is a list of thingss you need to take, hope it helps you.
Torch/Flash light Plug in Mozzie repellent buy spray locally
Own Tea and Coffe bags... Meds Eye drops, Headache tabs.. diahorrea tabs, antibiotics, insect relief cream for when you are bitten hoepfully not too often. Atiseptic wipes, coat hangers and a candle for when there is an electricity cut. All the island is cut from town to town for a few hours most weeks. Hope this helps. Bye

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable and very quiet at night, despite the hotel's central location. Nice gardens and a pool that I usually had to myself. Breakfast was juice, fruit, tea/coffee and one other dish that changed daily.

Very good value for money.

Ubud bungalows was the perfect spot for our trip to Ubud. The hotel is very authentic and we loved the architecture and look and feel of the place. The room and bathroom was very basic but clean and all you need, for the price you can't expect much more. The swimming pool was nice after long days walking around. The location is just perfect, really in the middle of where you want to be! The staff was very friendly and always willing to help and give advise, make use of their transport service, it is quite a drive and the driver almost gave us a little tour of the surroundings which no other taxi would be able to give you. I would maybe opt to next time pay a bit more and get an aircon room, totally worth your money. We would recommend this to anyone.

I have stayed at Ubud Bungalows on 3 occasions now and it never fails to please.
The staff are great, are at the airport on time to pick us up, and are always happy to help.
The rooms are big and airy with crisp white sheets and decks with a table and chairs.
The pool is lovely and sunny. The breakfasts, whist you don't get a choice is changed daily and is more than adequate.
The location is right on Monkey Forest road, but because the rooms are set well away from the road it is very quiet at night.
The hotel is very well priced for its very central location.
I highly recommend Ubud Bungalows to anyone wanting a stay in Ubud to experience this wonderful area.

From day one I have loved staying here. The staff are so nice and friendly. Every single one says hello when you walk past them, they remember what you are doing each day, your name and her more than happy to help with any suggestions.
The grounds are immaculate, the rooms too and cleaned every day. The breakfast each morning is delicious. It is a little oasis off what can be a busy Monkey Forest Road, the location is fantastic and Wayan and his staff go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay in Bali. Could not recommend highly enough. Great value for money.

Ubud Bungalow is true paradise!!! Come here as soon as you get to Bali and do not waste your time elsewhere - you will have no regrets!!! Wayan and his staff are amazing and will do everything they can to make your stay perfect. They provided my with personalized service (everybody knew my name) and helped me to tailor my itinery in Ubud to make my visit perfect! Ubud Bungalow is a peaceful oasis set off of Monkey Forest Road - it is a short walk (5 minutes) to the Monkey Forest, and right in the middle of the shops, restaurants, and spas. I selected the AC Superior Bungalow which was a large bungalow with a comfortable king sized bed and large bathroom. The grounds are beautiful - it is clear that Wayan's staff is fully attentive to every detail. Crickets and frogs serenade guests at night, and breakfast is served in a delightful roofed patio right in the middle of the Bali forest. Wayan, thank you again for such a wonderful visit - I look forward to my next trip to Ubud Bungalow!!

We had booked an AC room for three nights and then got an e-mail telling us that the room hafd been given to another client and that we wuold have to make do with a fan room.

We replied that bthis is ok for one night but then we arrived were told that a fan room was all we woluld get for three nights. The management obviously takes no chances, if a client shows up he/she/they get a room if it's booked or not.
Fan rooms are advertized on the internet for 30 US dollars/night. But they use the scam of having their own exchange rate so a 30 US dollar room costs 5-6% more

And beware of the "+" sign after the room rate. It means that 10% tax will be added, so a 30 dollar rrom costs 33 dollars at a really bad exchange rate.

In Ubud free internet for clients is normal but not in this place.

The rooms are nicely situated in a garden but are rather basic. We happily changed to another hotel after one night.
