We booked into Jati's home stay thinking we would get an experience with a local artist. Maybe the 2 nights we did stay wasn't long enough to meet the family properly, but we saw no evidence of the artwork being produced. This may also have been that when we checked in we were greeted by a lady that didn't speak English.
The location is nice looking out over rice paddy fields and quite central. The rooms are basic, the beds hard and but there was fresh, hot water. We didn't have a mosquito net and we were concerned as there were rips in the mosquito screen on the window.
We stayed in Ubud after the 2 days we stayed here but found somewhere else as rooms that were more central, with a pool and more comfortable for a better price.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here and will definitely come back if we are in Ubud again. The staff were great and couldn't do enough to help us. The airport pick up went smoothly and they made sure we were comfortable before letting us sleep, as we had arrived late. It was great to stay in a Homestay that also offered comfort and privacy. The rooms were good value for money and the location was great. It's a bit off the street so it's nice and quiet, but there are plenty of great restaurants and cafés right on the doorstep. We did a private tour to the volcano and surrounding temples. The tour guide was great, we really enjoyed the tour. The rooms back onto some rice paddies, which along with the gardens, makes you forget about the great central location that you're in. And breakfast was delicious, loved how there was something different every day.

I felt very welcome and comfortable from the moment we checked in. The rooms are basic but have everything you need (including mosquito net) and are clean. Jati has a very good location in Ubud and is a short walk from the many restaurants and shops. Set back from the main road, the rooms overlook rice paddys in a very tranquil setting. I needed to sleep with earplugs as the nature outside is quite loud at night! A delicious, healthy breakfast is served every morning in the chilled out reception area. Dewa is a very friendly, knowledgable host.

Jati Home Stay was a great spot to stay for a few days in Ubud. Not only does Dewa make you feel at home, his whole family is always friendly and helpful, whether it's helping you find a location, get a good deal on a volcano trek, or transporting you to another city. He goes above and beyond just hosting you and offers, most genuinely, all the help he can. The location itself was great as we had a very large room overlooking the fields, it was beautiful. There's also a ceiling fan and large wall of windows which is great as it keeps circulation flowing and had us tucked in under blankets in October.

I stayed there for a night. The overlooks a small paddy field. The room was decent and clean. Washroom was slightly dusty and dim (had some spider webs in the corners).

Unfortunately no air conditioning but the windows were opened and had a net to prevent insects from coming in.
location was okay.
extremely friendly staff.

Excellent. The room is basic but it serves our need. We took 2 rooms for our family of 6 and we stayed for 5 nights. It was a value for money. We were in Ubud to attend the Ubud Reader Writer Festival. The central location of Jati Home Stay allows us to walk to most meeting venues. That was great as taxi can be quite costly in Ubud. The staffs were very accomodating & the views are lovely too.

I would like to say thanks a lot for the recent Bali trip arranged and supported by Dewa, the owner of Jati Home Stay. We are very amazed with rooms decorated and furnished by bamboo, simple but not less fresh. With the rice ...paddy view and insect music at night we all feel as warm as we are in our home. The service is very nice and friendly with two people Wayan and driver Norman who are always smile and willing to help us.

To Dewa, once again, we all highly appreciate the offerred package of arrangement and services, I believe that you will have the same feeling as we did when you buy the servcie package offerred by Dewa from accomodation, tour plans, and other added services.

Hope to have chance to be Bali again in the near future, and make sure that Jati Home Stay is in my list.

Room Tip: Just contact to the owner Dewa.
