Description: The Jazz Café has been established as one of the most reputable restaurants in Ubud for over 15 years. We take great pride in providing a unique and hospitable service, paying meticulous attention to detail, ensuring our guests are completely satisfied by the time they leave us. In addition to offering an intimate and tantalizing dining experience within an ambient setting, we also present our guest’s with a different live musical performance each night (currently the only restaurant in Ubud to do so). Hosting Bali’s finest resident musicians, as well as special shows from top quality International acts every month, we cater for a wide variety of musical taste’s and Genre’s, from Jazz, Soul, Funk, Blues and RnB, to Latin, Salsa, Folk and Indonesian Fusion. We also have weekly dance classes hosted by Bali's best Salsa and Latin dance teachers. Our menu offers a delightful blend of European/International cuisine and Asian fusion, combining with our famous signature and classic cocktails to assure your taste buds an evening or lunch to remember! Seating up to 150 guests, the Jazz Café is a stylish, partly open-air, partly indoor, fully air-conditioned and recently renovated setting, with a choice of traditional table dining or lesehan style ‘Bales’. The décor combines a perfect blend of modern style with elements of traditional Balinese architecture and a beautiful tropical garden. We are happy to cater for large or small groups for any occasion, and we can offer versatility and flexibility with set menus, musicians and entertainment packages, tailor made to suit the clients specific needs and requirements, as well as budget. Our parking facility is the largest in Ubud with a nearby parking area large enough for big buses as well cars. In addition, we provide a free pick up service for your dining clients in the Ubud area.

“Great musicians, nice venue, more of a place to go if you want to be reminded of home.”

If you're looking for traditional Indonesian experiences this is not one of them. Nonetheless, it's a fun place that reminded me of clubs back home with some talented musicians. The drinks are expensive for a backpacker/flash packer budget with the large beer costing 48,000 Rp (double that of most warungs). And most drinks are going to run you close to 100,000 Rp. It's a fun little place to chill and I enjoyed the music but for me I want to immerse myself in the culture of Ubud and this was not really the place for me.

“The tastiest fish, veggies and all we've eaten in Sanur”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

Went there on recommendations of friends. Had fish, veggies, and rice dish. Was excellent! Very well prepared. Went back later in evening to listen to blues and have a banana split. Also, very good. Will go back again. They have music starting at 9 most nights. Varied genres each night. The band was great but would go back primarily for the tasty food.

“Good jazz/blues/funk in quiet Obud”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

The Obud Jazz Cafe and its sister joint, the Laughing Buddah in the town centre are the heart of the groove scene in Obud. Suprising western sophistication in this most traditional of Balinese towns. All the groovy expats as well as indonesian lovers of this type of music come to listen and also to play! The owners are very friendly to visiting affectioardos, and make you feel part of the scene. The food, drinks and decor are super as are the resident musicians. GO THERE!

“Great Jazz!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Both my husband and I enjoy Jazz music and we weren't disappointed by Nancy Ponto and the Soul Brothers' performance. Nancy Ponto has a powerful voice and belted out each number beautifully!
I loved the mattress seating arrangement, where you can lounge and enjoy the good music and food. We had a couple of starters and a pizza - everything was delicious! The pizza had a yummy, crispy base. Their cocktails are good too - the strawberry daiquiri was very good.
The staff is very friendly, as most Balinese seem to be.
A must visit if you are in Ubud.
